🏆 Successfully Concluded: 9th Jharsuguda District Pencak Silat Championship 2026 🏆

📍 Date: 26th April 2026
📌 Venue: Banquet Hall, Hotel Prince, Main Road, Jharsuguda

The 9th Jharsuguda District Pencak Silat Championship was successfully organized by the District Pencak Silat Association at Hotel Prince, where around 200 participants showcased their skills with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. 💪🔥

✨ Opening Ceremony
The championship was inaugurated by distinguished guests including Sri Bijay Behera (General Secretary, DAA Jharsuguda & Council Member, Odisha Olympic Association), Sri Tapas Kumar Roy Choudhury (President, PSAO), Smt Sanjukta Dash (Principal, GHVM, Jharsuguda), Smt Sudha Awasthi (JCI Achievers Founder & Mentor), Sri Bishnu Naik (Volleyball Secretary, DAA Jharsuguda), Sri Ashutosh Naik (National Referee), Smt Bhabani Kumari Sahoo, Guru Prem Singh Thapa, along with other eminent dignitaries. 🌸

🎉 Closing Ceremony
The championship concluded in a grand manner in the evening, graced by Sri Prasad Tamang (Commandant, OSAP 2nd Battalion, Jharsuguda) as the Chief Guest. Other esteemed guests present included Sri Ganesh Naik, Sri Bijay Dash, Sri Prajwal Patel, Sushree Khusbu Sahu, and others.

🏅 Winners were felicitated and awarded by the dignitaries.

⚙️ Event Highlights

Sri Ashutosh Naik (National Referee) played a key role as the Technical Head. The entire event was successfully conducted under the leadership of Guru Prem Singh Thapa, with valuable support from Smt Bhabani Kumari Sahoo, Rahul Sa, and other team members. 👏

🎯 Special Achievement
The championship also served as a selection platform for the Jharsuguda District team, which will represent the district in the upcoming State Pencak Silat Championship. 🇮🇳

On the auspicious occasion of 26th January, Republic Day, the players from Jharsuguda who brought glory to the district by winning medals at the 2nd Khelo India Beach Games, Diu were felicitated:
