SONAM GHOSH is INDIA-BOUND 🇮🇳 Our 15-year-old Academy goalkeeper Sonam Ghosh has been named in India’s 23-member squad for the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers in Malaysia.

Sonam, who joined ZFA as part of the academy’s inaugural girls’ batch in 2025, will now be part of India’s qualification campaign, with the Young Tigresses facing Iraq on October 5, Syria on October 8 and hosts Malaysia on October 11 💪

Sonam has had a busy year between the sticks… contributing massively in the victorious campaign at the Rajasthan Senior Women’s League, then featuring in the AIFF U-17 Women’s Youth League semi-finals and earning multiple India U-17 camp call-ups. She was also part of the squad that travelled to Tashkent last month for two friendlies against Uzbekistan.

From her first season at ZFA to representing India at the international level, Sonam’s 2025-26 continues with another important chapter 💙💛

We wish you all the best. Go girl 🫡

A strong showing for our ZF community school players at the 70th Udaipur District Level Football Tournament ⚽💙💛

Four teams featuring players from our ZF Community Schools in Tidi and Singatwara finished on the podium across different age groups.

🥈 U-19 Boys: Swami Vivekanand Sr. Sec. School Zawar Mines - Runner-up - 6 players from our ZF Singatwara centre

🥈 U-17 Girls: Sharda Public School Zawar — Runners-up - 3 players from our ZF Tidi centre

🥉 U-14 Boys: Govt. Senior Secondary School Tidi — 3rd Position - 14 players from our ZF Tidi centre

🏆 U-19 Boys: Govt. Senior Secondary School Tidi — Champions - 8 players from our ZF Tidi centre

Four podium finishes across boys’ and girls’ football… and, more importantly, another opportunity for our young community players to train, compete and test themselves at the district level.

For us, community football is about creating these pathways and giving young players the platform to take their next step.

Many congratulations to all the players 👏⚽

A setback… but not the end of the story 💛💙

Our charismatic 15-year-old midfielder Rahi Patel, part of our historic first-ever girls’ batch, has successfully undergone surgery following an ACL injury sustained during a recent tournament 🏥

Scouted from Gujarat, Rahi has already represented ZFA in the AIFF U-17 Women’s League, Rajasthan State League, Doon Cup, Asmita League and DAV U-19 Nationals.

For now, the boots take a little break… but the work doesn’t 💪

Rahi is already focussed on her rehabilitation, with her sights set firmly on getting back to the game she loves. See you on the pitch, brave girl ⚽

Until next year, Bappa 💙💛
