# # # Hirokazu Kanazawa Soke โ A Legendary Master of Shotokan Karate
**Hirokazu Kanazawa Soke (1931โ2019)** was one of the most respected and influential masters in the history of **Shotokan Karate**. A graduate of Takushoku University and a former senior instructor of the **Japan Karate Association (JKA)**, he became internationally renowned for his exceptional technique, powerful yet graceful movement, and deep understanding of Karate-Do.
In 1957, Kanazawa won the first All Japan Karate Championships' kumite title despite competing with a broken wrist, demonstrating his extraordinary spirit and determination. He later founded **Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation (SKIF)** and dedicated his life to spreading traditional Karate throughout the world.
Promoted to **10th Dan**, Kanazawa Soke became an inspiration to generations of karateka. His legacy lives on through his students, teachings, books, and the worldwide Shotokan community.
