District Kulgam has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the third position in the 24th UT Level Kho Kho Championship, held at the Green Field Ground, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The championship was organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Kho Kho Association.

During the group stages, Kulgam displayed exceptional performance by defeating Poonch and Baramulla, earning a spot in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, Kulgam faced a setback in the semi-final stage, where they were outplayed by District Budgam.

However, Kulgam bounced back strongly in the third-place match, facing District Udhampur. In a thrilling encounter, Kulgam emerged victorious, securing the third-place title and proving their resilience & determination.

The Jammu & Kashmir Kho Kho Association lauded the efforts of Kulgam's coach, Mr. Tajamul Mohi Ud Din,Manager Mr.Aadil Ahmed and Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Pala Sir (International Technical Official) for their exceptional preparation and leadership, which played a crucial role in the team's success at the prestigious tournament.

District Kulgam’s achievement highlights the growing talent and dedication to the sport in the region, & the team’s performance is a proud moment for the district. The founder of Jammu and Kashmir Kho Kho Association Mr Bhupinder Singh Tirthi highlighted the importance of Khelo India Centres in bringing a lot of talent in the championship.
