A LITTLE INSIGHT ON THE ONGOING AGITATION OF JK HIGH COURT BAR ASSOCIATION : If a law knowing person,who did stop at the Police check post for checking, can be thrashed and taken into custody for an offence under the Motor Vehicle Act. Imagine what could happen to a common man. Every person is equal in the eyes of law. The law does not give any mandate to the Police to thrash, beat, detain or arrest any person specially under the Motor Vehicle Act. We all know how corrupt police officers have encouraged Land Mfaia in Jammu. So worst is the situation that the two biggest supporters of SHO GANDHI NAGAR Arun Jamwal are Jumbo and Rafique(who protested in support of Arun Jamwal in Bari Brahmna yesterday),both are known history sheeters and criminals. The desperate attempt of the Police administration to divide the civil society is eveident from concocted media reports. General Public, transporters, matadoor drivers, heads of various social and trade organizations are being held and threatened in Police Headqaurters at the behest of the IGP. This issue is not of the lawyer who was beaten up by the erring police officials, it is now of the common man, a student, a shopkeeper,a labourer and everyone who is harassed by the police. The CALL for JAMMU BANDH is know not only for the lawyer but for every individual who has gone through or witnessed such acts of the Police. Why is that before going to the Police station every one needs to have a jugaad or sifaarish. Why is it that an SHO behaves like god in his territory. Why is it that despite being a Public servant he treats the Public like his own pesronal servants. We all must wake up to the situation. All important officers in Jammu province DC,SSP,DIV COMM. IGP etc do not belong to the state. Should we allow such officers to exploit the public of Jammu. Should we allow these officers to enmasse huge wealth by selling and capturing our land. Should we allow these officers to beat up people on the roads. If we donot unite and fight today the plight of a common man will be unimaginable. ARUN JAMWAL is not an officer who can serve the public. Demand for his suspension is genuine. We cannot sit quiet. He is public servant and he should serve the public in the manner prescribed by law. He should be suspended and an independent enquiry should be conducted against him. Police adminstartion is playing smart by not letting the civil society unite. The officers who are not from the state and well conversed with the divide and rule policy and behaving like dictators trying to gain control on people of Jammu. It is the question of the basic rights if every citizen of Jammu. We should observe Complete Band and support the cause. it is one Harshwardhan today tomorrow it will be many more of us. Arun Jamwal must go. The system must change because the system is for the Common Man. Police Atrocities on general have to to stop and now is the time.
