🇮🇳 A proud moment for Indian finswimming on foreign soil! 🇹🇷
Our young finswimmer Kiyara Sachin Agrawal, representing the Underwater Sports Association (India), was warmly received by Chargé d'Affaires Ms Ovessa Iqbal at the Embassy of India, Ankara — a special recognition following her international debut at the 2026 CMAS World Cup Finswimming Indoor Youth, held at the Halkapınar Olympic Pool in İzmir, Türkiye, from 2–5 July 2026.
Kiyara competed across multiple events at the Championship, including the 50m Bifins, 100m Surface, and 200m Bifins, racing against strong international fields in her first major outing on the world stage. Her participation was part of a landmark campaign for Team India, which finished 2nd in the National Team Classification at the event — a proud milestone for the sport back home.
The Embassy team hosted Kiyara and her family, celebrating her journey and wishing her continued success in her finswimming career. It's moments like these — where Indian missions abroad take the time to recognise our young athletes — that mean the world to the finswimming community in India.
USAI extends its sincere thanks to the Embassy of India, Ankara, and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, for this warm gesture, and once again congratulates Kiyara on representing the nation with pride.
