The National SC-ST Hub, Ludhiana (an initiative of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India), in collaboration with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), Punjab Chapter, successfully organized the State-Level Special Vendor Development Program (SVDP) on 12 March 2026 at Fortune Avenue ITC Hotel.
The program witnessed active participation from representatives of Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs), financial institutions, and government bodies, including Chakhia Ambani (DGM, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited), Monica Khullar (Chief Manager, Export-Import Bank of India Chandigarh), Priyanshu (Manager, Material Management, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Goindwal), Bir Vikram Singh (AMM, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala), Gaurav Gupta (Assistant Director, Federation of Indian Export Organisations Amritsar), Manoj Gaur (National Small Industries Corporation Jalandhar), and M. S. Moti (LDM, UCO Bank Jalandhar).
The program was graced by Ravi Kumar Narra, National President of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and recipient of the Padma Shri, who delivered an inspiring keynote address highlighting DICCI’s 20-year journey and its role in advancing the economic vision of B. R. Ambedkar.
The event was further honored by the presence of Tilak Khinder, National Head – Sports and Allied Industry Vertical, DICCI, who attended as the Guest of Honor and shared valuable insights for entrepreneurs from the sports and manufacturing sector.
With the dedicated efforts of Surya Bhushan (Branch Manager, National SC-ST Hub Ludhiana) and Rajesh Kumar (President, DICCI Punjab Chapter), the program achieved remarkable success in fostering meaningful dialogue between CPSUs and entrepreneurs, strengthening vendor participation in government procurement, and creating new opportunities for SC-ST entrepreneurs.
At the conclusion of the program, Tilak Khinder delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the participation and contributions of all distinguished guests, institutions, and entrepreneurs.
This initiative stands as a milestone in promoting inclusive growth, supplier diversity, and economic empowerment of SC-ST entrepreneurs.
