Working on Video Series of Squat Variations.
Squat is the compund movement - helps develop leg strength and size (Quads)
Whether it's
1. Powerlifting
2. Bodybuilding
3. Olympic Weight Lifting
4. Athletics
5. General Fitness
Squat is at core each of these sports.
Technique - High Bar
1. Unrack the squat bar (while having your suitable grip), for me, it's Normal Width grip.
2. Have your stance about shoulder width apart, can be more, depending on the torso, hips and femur length relationship.
3. Inhale, push your tummy out, it helps tighten your upper body and core (That's where most people go wrong by sucking in and lose the tension).
4. Start with your hips, open your knees out, or As powerlifting legend Ed-Coan Says " Open your Tank".
5. Go Down below the knees, depending on types of sports you in and type of training plan you are in (I mean the depth of squat)
6. Push against the bar, keep pushing against the bar
7. Keep tension in your upper body,
8. Get back up and rack the bar (After doing your rep/reps).
