Jaigaon has large buildings, halls, and other suitable places for melas, programs, and events. So please, stop choosing our football ground every time and damaging the place where our young athletes train, play, and build their future.

Whether you are a political leader, public representative, intellectual, businessman, social leader, or someone with influence and resources if you truly want to do something good for the youth, do not damage the ground. Stand with us to protect it.

For us sportsmen, this ground is not simply a place for entertainment.

This is where a child takes their first step into football.
This is where a player’s dream is born.
This is where talent begins its journey.
This is where the future of our next generation is built.

An event may last for a few days, but the damage caused to the ground can affect young athletes for months or even years. After every event, it is often the sportsmen and sports volunteers who are left to clean the waste, repair the damage, and make the ground playable again

My Journey — A Legacy of Faith

Life is short, and our journey in this world is only for a limited time. I do not want to leave this world carrying anything with me; I want to leave behind good thoughts, meaningful work, and memories that can inspire future generations.

I am not here simply to be a name. I am a small step toward faith, change, and a better future. I believe that even one small effort made today can become a path toward someone else’s dream tomorrow.

One day, my journey will naturally come to an end. When that day comes, do not remember me with tears—remember my struggles, my faith, my dreams, and the good work I tried to leave behind, and send me off with a smile.

Whether you remember my name or not is not what matters most. What matters is whether I did something better today than yesterday, and whether my efforts helped make tomorrow better for someone else.

A person may leave this world one day, but good deeds, meaningful thoughts, and inspiration can live on for generations.

That is the legacy I want to leave behind.

This ground is not just a place to play football it carries the dreams, struggles, hard work, sweat, and future of thousands of young people. Therefore, no one has the right to play with the future of our ground by spreading lies, creating confusion, or serving personal interests.

For years, the proper development of our historic ground has been held back because of wrong thinking and personal interests. But we will not remain silent anymore. We are not raising our voices against anyone; we are standing for truth, justice, and the future of our generation.

We have faith that our Honourable MLA Bishal Lama and the Hon’ble Education Minister will listen to the voice of our youth, understand the real problems facing our ground, and take the necessary steps for its proper development.

Win or loss is a part of the game, but today we won something even more valuable the trust and belief of Samsing.

It has been more than two months since we submitted a written request to the District Magistrate (DM) and the Public Health Engineering Directorate (PHE Dte.) for the relocation of the PHE pipeline passing through Gopimohan Football Ground, Jaigaon. We also informed the local PHE contractor and requested an immediate site inspection.

Unfortunately, not a single official has visited the ground to inspect the situation. We respectfully ask: Why has there been no action even after two months?

The football ground has already lost valuable playing space due to the PHE pipeline, road, drainage system, and electric poles. These obstacles have reduced the standard dimensions of the ground and are affecting the development of football and the future of hundreds of young players.

We strongly urge the concerned authorities, including the PHE Department, the District Administration, and the local contractor, to take immediate responsibility and resolve this issue without any further delay.
