THE REASON WHY ROBERT WHITTAKER
BEATS HIS CHEST BEFORE FIGHTS
Robert Whittaker:
"When I was a kid I didn't understand how complicated life could be, to be honest I was a little 💩 "
"But looking back, I can see that my dad s@cr!f!ced a lot. He did a lot of things that I'm sure he didn't want to do. He always put us first."
"When I step into the Octagon I always beat my chest, people often see me hitting my star tattoo (of the Australian flag) and I don't mind if they think that's the reason because I love my country, but actually there's another reason why I do that."
"My dad let me get that tattoo when I was 18 and I always touch my chest so he knows that no matter if he's in the public or at home, I want him to know that I'm thinking about him.
It's my way of showing him that I know he's watching me."
