It takes courage, determination and guts to overcome a series of obstacles and make your way to the top. This is what Jyoti Chouhan hailing from a small town called Sardarpur in Dhar district, MP has done. Jyoti has been selected for Senior Team India Women's Football Camp preparing for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup to be hosted by India.
A small but heartfelt felicitation ceremony was held at Delhi Public School Indore on Saturday. DPS Principal Mr. Ajay Sharma, Social Activist and Founder of Jwala Mahila Samiti Dr. Divya Gupta along with CSP Mr. Anil Rathore graced the event and sent-off Jyoti with miscellaneous gifts. The event was organized under the aegis of NextGen Soccer and Jagran LakeCity University, Bhopal.
Having lost her father when she was just a teen, Jyoti who is one of 5 sisters found herself burdened with earning a living alongside her mother who's a daily wage labourer.
Urged and motivated by her admirable coach and mentor, Mr. Shailendra Pal, Jyoti has fought adverse financial circumstances and still managed to find the strength to achieve becoming MP's beacon of hope in the Football Community. She is currently completing her Undergraduation as a Bachelor in Physical Education from Bhopal.
