Strength Training not only helps build strength in your muscles, tendons and ligaments and joints .
Strength Training when combined with Yoga , Pilates etc will promote flexibility and strength while reducing the chances of injuries.
To all the people Training out there , take a day off and do Yoga to start improving your flexibility.
Warning: Stretching prior and after workout doesn't increase Joint Mobility or Flexibility, it just increases your chances of injuring your tendon / ligament due to stiff muscle.
