Karate- Do (The way of the empty hand)

Karate is fundamentally and traditionally the practice of blocking, striking, punching and kicking techniques for self defence. Other attributes of training are health and fitness, self confidence, development of body and mind, self discipline and respect for ones self and others. The class structures and grading syllabus are based on traditional karate styl

es. Once a student reaches a high level we introduce them to other styles of karate plus other martial arts including ju-jitsu, kung-fu and traditional weapons ( nun-chuku, Bo-staff, tonfa, sai. This way our students become open minded martial artists with a range of abilities, and not just karate-ka. This has helped our students win major competitions in fields in and outside of their syllabus training
