Mandatory Req:
1. Candidate should have good experience working on Cassandra database. Should have deep understanding of the Cassandra
architecture concepts (Cluster Structure, Practitioner, Read Write Path, Replication, tunable consistency).
2.Experience troubleshooting large scale distributed systems. Should have good experience working on Java development/maintenance and API Integration with Cassandra. Experience working with Cassandra database in a clustered production environment
3. Should have written CQL scripts for moving data between Cassandra, Hive and flat files. Proficiency with Java driver with a clear understanding on connection pooling, tuning policies, Async calls, bulk loader APIs.
4. Experience in Multi Data Center Cluster Setup & Management & Operations (DR Scenarios, Data Repair, Monitoring).
5. Experience in performance tuning at a DB & API level (Knowledge of Caching, Tuning Configurations, JMX Metrics, Data Model Best Practices etc.)
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively present information to various technical audience

Good to have-

1. Knowledge of other NoSQL data stores

2. Hands-on data mining / analytics experience with large datasets

3. Experience in Infrastructure or Technology Operations

4. Must be able to address multiple priorities in an extremely fast-paced environment

5. Good with one or more RDBMS like Oracle, MySQL etc.

6. Strong data analysis and SQL Query writing skills.

7. Good knowledge of Data warehousing concepts.

8. Understands Security Considerations, encryption techniques.

9. Research, troubleshoot, and solve challenging technical issues. Manage technical inquiries from customers

Cassandra is a massively scalable, fully distributed, high performance NoSQL database based on Google's BigTable and Amazon's Dynamo technologies put together and open sourced by Facebook.
