Anahata brings in an opportunity for you to explore your nature in the outdoors with a hike and rappelling. ⠀

What is Rappelling? :⠀
Rappelling is a controlled descent off a vertical drop, such as a rock face, using a rope. It is the act or method of moving down a steep incline or past an overhang by means of a double rope secured above and placed around the body, usually under the left thigh and over the right shoulder, and paid out gradually in the descent.⠀

About the place and the plan:⠀
Come 1st of December, we will hike into the Khajaguda rock formations (located behind the Lanco Hills, Nanakramguda). ⠀
There is this wonderful rockscape, overlooking greenery on one side and a beautiful lake on the other, we will take a short hike over the rocks and boulders till the point where we descend from a certain height (50-60 feet) with the help of ropes. ⠀

How it is done:⠀
There will be double ropes fixed and secured above with hooks drilled into the rock and go all the way till the point of landing on the ground. ⠀
The descender will be provided a harness (a looped restraint or support with a combination of belt and straps to support the waist, back, thighs and legs) which holds the rope through a carbineer or a hook and additionally another rope is tied to provide that additional support and security. ⠀

Itinerary and cost:⠀
It will be an exciting event filled with adventure, thrill and fun. The event begins early in the morning, we shall assemble by 6:00 a.m. at a nearby designated spot and once everyone arrives, will head towards the hiking spot, and begin with an easy to moderate hike over the rocks and boulders, feeling the lovely morning breeze and beautiful weather. ⠀
