It is a pride to inform all Karate fraternities that Eight players of Assam including Rayna Sinha, Aadriti Bharali, Kaban Bongjangpi, Preet Kaur, Geet Kaur, Lohit Ahmed, Akrang Basumatary and Hemphu Bongjang are representing the Indian team under KIO for the participation of the 16th Thailand Open Karate Championships 2026 to be held from 12-16 August to be held at Bangkok, Thailand.
The Championship is being organised by the Thailand Karate Federation which is sanctioned by the Asian Karate Federation (recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia).
Rayna Sinha will take part in U-10 female Kata and Kumite, Aadriti Bharali will participate in the U-12 Female Kata & Kumite, Kaban Bongjangpi will take part in U-12 female Kata and Kumite while Geet Kaur and Preet Kaur will participate in Cadet female Kumite, Lohit Ahmed in Cadet male Kumite, Akrang Basumatary will participate in Junior male Kumite and Hemphu Bongjang will take part in the Senior male Kata and Kumite and U-21 male Kumite event.
Note that Hemphu Bongjang won three medals including one gold , one Silver and one Bronze in this Championship last year.
The Assam team has left for Bangkok today via Kolkata. UKAA hereby wishes all the very best for the Championships.

The Assam team has won a total of 11 medals including 5 gold, 3 Silver and 3 bronze medals on the last day of the 20th All India Independence Cup Karate Championships 2026 today.

The Assam team has won a total of Seven medals including four gold, two silver and one bronze on the second day of the 20th All India Independence Cup Karate Championships 2026 today at New Delhi.
Assam has won a total of 11 medals in the Championship till today.

The Assam team has won a total of four medals including one gold, one Silver and two bronze medals in the first day of the 20th All India Independence Cup Karate Championships 2026 being started from today at New Delhi.
Hanee Ali has won Gold in Senior female Kumite -61kg kg, Rajnandan Saikia won Silver in Senior male Kumite -55kg, Pijush Dutta won Bronze in Senior male Kata and Zian Choudhury won Bronze in Senior male Kumite -67kg category.
UKAA hereby congratulate all the medal holder players for their success in the mega event of India.

It is proud to be informed all UKAA fraternities that after successful participation in the 10th South Asian Karate Championships and 2nd U-14 South Asian Cup Karate Championships 2026 now a total of 8 players of Assam including Hemphu Bongjang, Lohit Ahmed, Akhrang Basumatary, Kaban Bongjangpi, Geet Kaur, Preet Kaur, Rayna Sinha and Aadriti Bharali are ready to represent Indian team under KIO for the participation of the 16th Thailand Open Karate Championships 2026 to be held at Bangkok from 12-16 August.
The State team is leaving for Bangkok on 11 August and back on 17 August.

Congratulations to all the players of Assam who won medals in the South Asian Karate Championships 2026.
A total of 11 players including 4 players in the 10th Cadet, Junior, U-21 and Senior South Asian Karate Championships 2026 and 7 players in the 2nd U-14 South Asian Cup Karate Championships 2026.
Note that the Indian team has secured the second best team while Nepal team stand best Team in the 10th South Asian Karate Championships 2026.
The President of South Asian Karate Federation Hanshi Bharat Sharma has announced in the Closing ceremony today that the next 11th South Asian Karate Championships 2027 will be held at Kathmandu, Nepal.

The State team reached Dhaka, Bangladesh yesterday to participate in the 10th South Asian Karate Championships and 2nd South Asian Cup Karate Championships 2026 to be started from today.
Assam , Manipur & Meghalaya players with KIO Treasurer Mutum Bankim Singh and KIO Joint Secretary Nagen Bongjang. UKAA wishes all the very best to all players of North East that represent the Indian team under the umbrella of Karate India Organisation.

It is proud to inform all UKAA & KIO fraternities that four players of Assam including Hanee Ali, Hemphu Bongjang, Arnab Borah and Madhusmita Daimari have been selected to represent Indian team under the umbrella of Karate India Organisation for the participation of the 10th South Asian Cadet, Junior, U-21 and Senior Karate Championships 2026 to be held at Dhaka, Bangladesh from 17-19 July while seven players including Aadriti Bharali, Jennah Mustafa, Rayna Sinha, Dharitri Borah,Diksha Deka, Adyan Maroof Hussain & Kaban Bongjangpi have been selected for the participation of the 2nd South Asian Cup Karate Championships 2026.
On the other hand three AKF Referees Nagen Bongjang, Hasmat Ali and Mobarak Ali also selected as the Technical Officials of the South Asian Karate Championships.
The Assam team is leaving for Dhaka tomorrow via Kolkata. UKAA hereby wishes all the very best to all players of Assam for the South Asian Karate Championships & South Asian Cup Karate Championships.

The 8th UKAA Wado Ryu Council Karate Championships 2026 has been successfully concluded today at Suwansiri College Auditorium hall, Lakhimpur.
Around 100 UKAA Wado Ryu groups participated in the Championship.
The Championship was officially inaugurated by the Principal of Suwansiri College Dr. Rupeswar Chetia in the presence of UKAA General Secretary Nagen Bongjang, Dhemaji District Karate President Dilip Pegu, Lakhimpur District Karate Working President Arun Saikia, Lecturer Dr. Karabi Dutt, Wado Ryu Council Chairman Jaganath Kaman.
UKAA hereby congratulate the UKAA Wado Ryu family for the successful completion of the Championship.

The 8th UKAA Sh*to Ryu Council Karate Championships 2026 has been successfully concluded today at Pathsala with around 200 players participation from 9 different Sh*to Ryu groups under UKAA.
The Championship was officially inaugurated by UKAA General Secretary Nagen Bongjang in the presence of UKAA Treasurer Nish*th Chakraborty, Joint Secretary Mobarak Ali, Didit Dekaraja, Bajali District Karate Working President Nipan Deka and different Sh*to Ryu Style Chiefs.
The Sh*to Ryu Style players who won medals in the KIO National Karate Championships 2026 were warmly felicitated with Cash award of Rs 2000/-by the Sh*to Ryu Council committee in the Inauguration Ceremony today.
UKAA hereby congratulated all the Sh*to Ryu Council families for the successful completion of the Championships.
