𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤 । पताक: । পতাক ( 𝐩𝐚•𝐭𝐚𝐚•𝐤 )
According to Srihastamuktavali written by Shubhankar Kavi, there are 30 different 𝗔𝘀𝗮𝗺𝘆𝘂𝗸𝘁𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘀 ( single handed gestures). Patak Hasta is one among them. In dance it is used to depict many things for example a flag ( dhwaj), clouds, water, fear, mountain, sleep, negation etc.
Sattriya nritya too has similar uses of this hasta as recorded in the text.

Amidst all the struggle and uncertainty of the 'new normal' , the spirit of zeal, enthusiasm and hard work of our students havy not slowed down. The practical and theory examination for the session 2020-2021 concluded successfully . Thank you Bhagawati da and Bora da for conducting the exam so well. We are always grateful to Hari Saikia sir for guiding us and being part of the Chandamukha Sattriya Academy family.

A very special and emotional day for us.
The Convocation ceremony for the years 2019 and 2020 being held today at the Sankardeva Kalakhestra At Guwahati reminded us that with the personal and professional crisis of loosing our Founder-Principal, Hari Prasanna Mahanta Sir, didn't make us loose our vision to achieve the end, but rather made us strong. Thus, with his blessings we proudly present our students of Sattriya nritya and Borgeet smiling and shining! 🙏🙏

This year on 1st April 2021, we celebrated the birthday of our Founder- Principal Hari Prasanna Mahanta, doing what he taught us to do. We danced, we celebrated, we prayed; and this year, though without him being with us physically, we shifted our Academy to a more spacious place with his blessings, guidance and the way he always wanted.

Following Covid-19 guidelines of social distancing and wearing of masks, Chandamukha Sattriya Academy successfully completed its Sattriya dance theory exam for the batch of 2019-2020. 🙏🙏🙏
