"Oscar Wilde's Dorian Gray is like a warning, but also a temptation. It's the story of a young man so beautiful that he makes a wish to stay young forever, and the universe grants it - but at a terrible cost. As Dorian commits sin after sin, his portrait in the attic changes, becoming twisted and ugly, while he remains perfect and untouched.

The book is like a slow-motion car crash; you can't look away. Wilde writes about desire like it's a war, with every glance a skirmish and every word a blade. Lord Henry Wotton, the devilish voice in Dorian's ear, whispers poisonous ideas that feel seductively true.

The real horror is that you start to envy Dorian's freedom, even as he destroys himself. When he kills the painter who sees the truth, you feel a chill, because you've wanted to silence someone who saw you clearly too.

The book doesn't preach; it just shows you the mirror. Wilde knew that beauty is more dangerous than ugliness because it lets us think we're above the rules. Dorian Gray is a seduction, whispering that you could live without limits, without scars. But the portrait screams silently in the attic, reminding you that every life exacts its price.

The ending is intimate and inevitable, like a man turning a knife on himself. You'll close the book feeling altered, exposed, and strangely free. Read it not because it's a classic, but because it's a dare. Wilde is saying, "Live exquisitely. Just remember someone will have to look at the picture eventually." ЁЯШИ"

Emily Bront├лтАЩs *Wuthering Heights* is a haunting masterpiece that delves into the darker corners of human passion and the destructive power of love. Set against the wild, untamed moors of Yorkshire, the novel tells the story of Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, whose intense bond transcends societal norms and moral boundaries. Their love is not the kind that brings peace or happiness; instead, it is a force of nature, consuming everything in its path and leaving behind a trail of devastation.

Heathcliff, an orphan brought to Wuthering Heights as a child, forms an unbreakable connection with Catherine, the daughter of the house. Their relationship is raw and primal, rooted in a shared sense of rebellion against the constraints of their world. However, when Catherine chooses to marry the wealthy and refined Edgar Linton, HeathcliffтАЩs love turns into a burning desire for revenge. His transformation from a brooding, misunderstood outsider to a vengeful, almost demonic figure drives the narrative forward, creating a tale of obsession, cruelty, and redemption.

Catherine, torn between her love for Heathcliff and her desire for social stability, becomes a tragic figure. Her famous declaration, тАЬI am Heathcliff,тАЭ underscores the depth of their connection, yet her choices lead to a lifetime of suffering for both herself and those around her. The novelтАЩs exploration of love is not romanticized; instead, it is portrayed as a destructive, all-consuming force that blurs the lines between love and hate, life and death.

Bront├лтАЩs use of a dual narrative structure, with the story told through the eyes of the outsider Lockwood and the housekeeper Nelly Dean, adds layers of complexity to the tale. The wild, stormy landscape of the moors mirrors the turbulent emotions of the characters, creating a vivid backdrop for their struggles. Themes of social class, revenge, and the supernatural intertwine, making *Wuthering Heights* a rich and multifaceted work.

Despite its bleakness, the novelтАЩs enduring appeal lies in its unflinching portrayal of human emotion. Heathcliff and CatherineтАЩs love, though destructive, is undeniably powerful, leaving readers both captivated and unsettled. *Wuthering Heights* is not just a story of love and revenge; it is a profound exploration of the human soul, reminding us of the enduring impact of our choices and the timeless nature of passion.

*If you look healthier, younger and energetic, then definitely there is a shark in your tank.*

3 min read .. Go through when your mind is relaxed ..

The Japanese have a great liking for fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fishes for decades. So, to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring back the fishes. The longer it took them to bring back the fishes, the stale they grew. The fishes were not fresh and the Japanese did not like the taste.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed the freezers on their boats. They would catch the fishes and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer.

However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen fish. And they did not like the taste of frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a lower price.

So, fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fishes and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little hashing around, fishes stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive. Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. Because the fishes did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste. The Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.

The fishing industry faced an impending crisis!

But today, it has got over that crisis and has emerged as one of the most important trades in that country!

How did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem?

How do they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan ?

To keep the fishes tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fishes in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank. The shark eats a few fishes, but most of the fishes arrive in a very lively state.

The fishes are challenged and hence are constantly on the move. And they survive and arrive in a healthy state!

They command a higher price and are most sought-after.

The challenge they face keeps them fresh!

Humans are no different.

L. Ron Hubbard observed in the early 1950's: "Man thrives, oddly enough, only in the presence of a challenging environment."

George Bernard Shaw said: *"Satisfaction is death!"*

If you are steadily conquering challenges, you are happy. Your challenges keep you energized.

*They keep you alive!*

Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go!

*Moral: If you look healthier, younger and energetic, then definitely there is a shark in your tank.*

THE LAST LEG OF LIFE !

Most of us are now in the last quarter of our life and should read this interesting piece of advice ЁЯСН

This is one of the nicest and most gentle articles IтАЩve read in a while: No politics, No religion and No racial issues - just food for thought.

You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young and embarking on my new life. Yet, in a way, it seems like years ago, and I wonder where all the years went ?

I know that I lived them all.

I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.

However, here it is, the last quarter of my life and it catches me by surprise !!!
How did I get here so fast ??
Where did the years go and where did my youth go??

I remember well, seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that I was only on the first quarter and that the fourth quarter was so far off that I could not visualise it or imagine fully what it would be like.

Yet, here it is !! My friends are retired and getting grey, they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me, but I see the great change.
TheyтАЩre not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant. But, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd become.

Each day, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day and taking a nap is not a treat anymore !! It's mandatory because if I don't of my own free will, I fall asleep where I sit.

And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done, but never did. At least now I know that, though IтАЩm on the last quarter and I'm not sure how long it will last, that when it's over on this earth, it's all over. A new adventure will begin, I feel !!

Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn't done; things I should have done, but truly there are many things I'm happy to have done. It's all in a lifetime.

So, if you're not on the last quarter yet, let me remind you that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life do it quickly.
Don't put things off too long. Life goes by so quickly.
So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether you're on the last quarter or not.

You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of life. So, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember - and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the past years.

тАШLifeтАЩ is a gift to you. Be Happy - Have a great day !!

Remember, it is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold, silver or printed Notes or even property.

You may think:

Going out is good - but coming back home is much better !!!

You forget names - but it's okay because some people forgot they even knew you !!!

You realize, you are never going to be really good at anything like golf - but you like the outdoors. So, do it.

The things you used to care to do, you aren't as interested in anymore - but, you really don't care that you aren't as interested.

You sleep better on a lounge chair with the TV on than in bed тАУ you call it тАШpre-sleepтАЩ !!! If you enjoy it, just do it.

You miss the days when everything worked with just an тАШOnтАЩ and тАШOffтАЩ switch !!!

You tend to use more 4 letter words тАУ тАШwhatтАЩ and тАШwhenтАЩ ?

You have lots of clothes in your wardrobe, more than half of which you will never wear тАУ but just in case !!

тАв Old is good -
тАв Old is comfortable.
тАв Old is safe.
тАв Old songs.
тАв Old movies.
тАв and - best of all,
тАв Friends of old !!!

So, stay well, тАШOld friend.тАЩ
Have a fantastic day.
Have an awesome Quarter, whichever one youтАЩre in !!!
Take care.

Before Charles Dickens became one of the most beloved writers in history, he was just a broken child by the Thames.
At age 12, his world collapsed. His father was arrested and sent to debtorтАЩs prison. With no money and no hope, Charles was pulled from school and forced to work in a filthy shoe polish factory, gluing labels on blacking pots for 10 hours a day. The place was cold, rat-infested, and merciless.
Surrounded by adults, he was utterly alone.
For a boy so full of imagination and promise, it was devastating. He felt invisible. Discarded. Like the world had thrown him away.
But it didnтАЩt end there.
That pain carved itself into his soulтАФand out of it grew a gift. It gave Dickens a fierce empathy for the poor, the voiceless, and the forgotten. He never forgot what it felt like to be powerless. That memory became the beating heart of his stories.
Oliver Twist. David Copperfield. Great Expectations.
They werenтАЩt just books. They were truth in fictionтАФcries for justice wrapped in prose. Dickens didnтАЩt just entertain. He exposed child labor. He condemned poverty. He made the world look at what it tried to ignore.
Eventually, his father was freed. Charles returned to school. But the scars remainedтАФand he turned them into stories that changed hearts across the globe.
Because true greatness doesnтАЩt come from ease.
It comes from risingтАФscarred but awakeтАФand using your voice to help others rise too.
ThatтАЩs what Charles Dickens did.

Dear Parent,

Today I sent you an email to inform you that your child has failed to turn in yet another assignment.

He is in danger of failing my class, and I thought you might be concerned about his grade.

Turns out I was wrong.

Instead of asking me if there is anything he can do to make up the work, or what he needs to do to pass, you blamed me. You accused me of not liking your kid.

To be perfectly frank, heтАЩs not my favorite.

He is rude.

He lies to me.

He blows off my class, and he proclaims my lessons тАЬstupid.тАЭ I have seen him mouth off to kids who are bigger and tougher, and IтАЩve seen him be mean to kids who are weaker and less fortunate.

So you are right.

I donтАЩt always like him. But I do care about him.

I care very much, and I am worried.

You see, one day very soon this boy you are so eager to protect will leave your nest, and I am worried that he does not have the skills to make it in the real world.

I worry that his future employers or friends or spouse, will not have the patience that you and I have.

I worry that he will slack off at work and make excuses.

I worry he will be rude to his boss and mouthy to his coworkers.

I worry he will be unkind and that he wonтАЩt be able to keep a job or friends or a wife.

I worry that heтАЩll be lonely.

And when these things happen, you will not be able to protect him.

When he blames others for his problems by saying, тАЬWell, they just donтАЩt like me,тАЭ he will be right.

ItтАЩs true. Sometimes I donтАЩt like your son.

But mostly I am just frustrated by how hard he makes it to like him.

IтАЩve seen enough to know that it could be easier.

Sometimes he forgets that heтАЩs supposed to hate school.

He forgets that caring isnтАЩt cool.

Sometimes I see a spark of interest. I see a light come on.

On those days when he shares some insight into a poem or a thoughtful opinion about something weтАЩve read, I can tell he gets it.

And he likes getting it.

Your son is funny. He has a quick wit that is charming when he doesnтАЩt use it to cut down another kid.

I admit it. At times I donтАЩt like your son.

But he has bigger problems.

I donтАЩt like him, but I do care about him.

Soon he will be out in the world where there will be people who neither like him nor care about him. He will be out in a world that doesnтАЩt accept excuses or bad moods or phone calls from Mom defending poor behavior.

Please do not send him into that world unprepared.

When someone we love passes on, it feels like the world shifts beneath our feet. The emptiness they leave behind is overwhelming, a silence so loud it can consume us. We look for them in every shadow, every whisper of the wind, every familiar song. And yet, as much as we long for their presence, life continues, forcing us to learn a truth we never wanted to know: love doesnтАЩt end when life does.

The people we love donтАЩt truly leave us. They stay in the memories we carry, the lessons they taught us, the love they poured into us. Their laugh echoes in the back of our minds, their favorite phrases sneak into our conversations, and their essence lingers in the spaces they once filled.

Over time, the sharp ache of their absence softens into a bittersweet reminder of the love we shared. We begin to realize that they are not truly gone; they are woven into the fabric of who we are. Their love becomes a part of us, a quiet strength we carry through our days.

Grief doesnтАЩt go awayтАФit changes. It becomes a companion, a reminder of the depth of our love. We learn to live with it, not by forgetting, but by honoring. By smiling at their memory, by continuing traditions they held dear, by speaking their name with warmth instead of tears.

And though we may not see them, they are with us in ways that words canтАЩt explain. In the quiet moments, when the world feels still, we sense them. In the milestones we wish they could witness, we feel their pride. In our hardest days, we feel the echo of their encouragement.

The love they gave us becomes our guide. It teaches us to cherish the present, to love deeply, and to never take a single moment for granted. Their absence reminds us to hold tightly to those who remain, to express our love without hesitation, and to live in a way that honors the legacy they left behind.

When people we love leave this world, they donтАЩt leave us emptyтАФthey leave us full. Full of memories, full of lessons, full of love. And that love, even in their absence, has the power to sustain us, to heal us, and to remind us that they are never truly gone. They live on in us, in every step we take and every breath we draw.

They gave us their love, and that love remains. Always.
