Dedication Has No Age!

Mr. Laxman Adhikari, a registered shooter of the Sikkim R***e Association, has once again proved that dedication, discipline, and passion know no age.

He has won a Bronze Medal in the Masters Men category for Sikkim at the India Open Shooting Championship 2026, held in Asansol from 21st to 27th September 2026.

This is his second medal, and with this outstanding performance, Laxman Adhikari has also secured his place at the National Shooting Championship, joining our other qualified shooters Miss Anu Chhetri and Miss Tshering Yangden Bhutia.

The Sikkim R***e Association is proud to nurture talent, support athletes, and create opportunities for our shooters to compete at the national level.

Congratulations, Laxman Adhikari, on this stupendous achievement! Your dedication is an inspiration to every aspiring athlete in Sikkim.

As part of the MOU signed between the Sikkim R***e Association and Sikkim Police, we had committed to supporting and encouraging police personnel who show excellence in shooting.

I am personally very happy that Pemba Sherpa has performed exceptionally well and, in recognition of his dedication and performance, we are providing him with a six-month scholarship.

This is more than just a scholarship—it is our small effort to promote shooting, encourage talent, and create more opportunities for deserving athletes in Sikkim.

Going forward, Sikkim R***e Association will continue organising Talent Hunts and other initiatives to identify and nurture new shooting talent.

We will always stand proudly for the growth and development of shooting sports in Sikkim.

A Historic First for Sikkim Shooting Sports

Laxuman Adhikari, a registered shooter of the Sikkim R***e Association and an athlete of the Sikkim R***e & Pistol Academy, has created history by winning the first-ever Bronze Medal for Sikkim at the 13th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2026, held in Assam from 25th–30th August 2026.

This achievement comes within just one year of the Sikkim R***e Association’s registration and affiliation with the National R***e Association of India (NRAI).

From starting almost from scratch to winning a historic medal in an Olympic sport, this is only the beginning. The journey has just started, and the impact is already being felt.

I will leave no stone unturned to take Sikkim to the No. 1 position in shooting sports one day.

A Proud Moment for Sikkim

Two young shooters, Anu Chhetri – 10m Air Pistol and Tshering Yangden Bhutia – 10m Air R***e, have been selected to represent Sikkim at the 69th National Shooting Championship 2026.

Within just one year, Sikkim has reached the national level in shooting. This is not just a sporting achievement—it is real human empowerment: giving our youth purpose, confidence, discipline, and the opportunity to dream big.

As President of the Sikkim R***e Association and Founder of Shooting Sports in Sikkim, this moment is deeply emotional and motivates me to work even harder for our athletes.

To all parents: give your children a chance.
Shooting is an Olympic sport with a great future. Let us build champions and, more importantly, build a stronger and empowered generation.

The journey has just begun.
