The “LEONS SPORTING CLUB” is a Sikkim based sports club which has been formed or started keeping in view the rising unemployment problem and drug abuse in our state. Our primary aim will be to encourage and motivate youths to get themselves indulge in any kind of sports that will keep them healthy & happy and eventually this way it will help in building a healthy state. As our foremost initiative,

THE LEONS SPORTING CLUB will be playing the qualifying round of the S- league IInd Division. This way, we will be encouraging more and more of our youths to participate in any kind of sports that they excel in. Winning and losing is a part of any game, so whether we win or lose, we will come strong every time we get on field and keep the spirit of game alive.

Debut award for us.....YES.. this is our first ever award since the establishment of club in June 2013. Our team was adjudged as "The Best Discipline Team" by the committee and public at 67th Independence challenge cup 2013 at Resithang Sports Complex , Ranka East Sikkim. A trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 5000 was handed over to the team coach by Shri. Zigmee Bhutia, A.E, BAC Ranka.

We lost our Quarter final match against Fulbari Sangh in a tie breaker by 3-2. Though we lost, our boys played extremely well and gathered applause from the public and committee as well... LEONS walked out their head held high... RESPECT..

It was a crucial win against Ranka SC. We defeated them by 2 nil. We will be playing our Quarter final on 11th august at 3:30 pm.
