AVENGERS CRICKET CLUB played our second match at B-DIVISION MENS CLUB TOURNAMENT MANGAN DISTRICT on 2nd of May 2026 against MAJITAR BROTHERHOOD CLUB .
MAJITAR won the toss and chose to BAT first.
The bowling department was headed absolutely amazingly by our captain PRASANT GURUNG who took 4 wickets at the expense of just 28 runs. While MD SAHIL took 2 wickets , BINESH PRADHAN and AVISHKAR CHETTRI took 1 wicket each
Needing 129 runs to win our opening batting pair had an unfortunate run out , bringing SABIN CHETTRI into bat who along with AKASH THAPA stabilised our batting department with 56 runs partnership in which AKASH THAPA scored 38 runs off 30 balls which included 2 fours and 2 sixes and SABIN CHETTRI scored 16 runs off 23 balls which incuded 1 six . Later with quick wickets falling SWARAJ SHARMA and BINESH PRADHAN formed a partnership of 31 runs where SWARAJ SHARMA played a sensible innings scoring 22 runs off 24 balls . The finishing touches were giving by BINESH PRADHAN who scored 32 off 19 balls which included 4 hugeee sixes and 1 fours, and AVISHKAR CHETTRI who scored 11 off 9 balls which included 1 four and 1 six .

Our captain PRASANT GURUNG was adjudged for his brilliant 4 wickets haul .

With this win AVENGERS CRICKET CLUB enters the QUARTERFINALS of SICA MENS B-DIVISION TOURNAMENT 2026

START WITH A BOOM !!🎆
AVENGERS CRICKET CLUB played our first match at B-DIVISION MENS CLUB TOURNAMENT MANGAN DISTRICT on 30 of April 2026 against RNB MANGAN .
Due to rain the game was shortened to a 15 over match.
AVENGERS won the toss and chose to field first .
The bowling was spearheaded by brilliant 2 wickets each by MD SAHIL and BINESH PRADHAN . An economical spell from all the bowlers restricted RNB MANGAN to just 100 runs.
Needing 101 runs to win our opening batting pair started with confidence where AKASH THAPA scored 47 out off 37 balls NOT OUT which included 6 smashing sixes while on the other side A***N THAPA CHETTRI played an anchoring role scoring 21 runs off 22 balls including 2 classic sixes , while Sabin Chettri provided the finishing touches scoring 15 runs off 14 balls including 2 fours .
AKASH THAPA was adjudged as the MAN OF THE MATCH for his wonderful chase remaining not out and securing the first win for AVENGERS CRICEK CLUB .

On 26th of April 2026 AVENGERS CRICKET CLUB unveiled our new jersey for the upcoming SICA B Division tournament .
The event was hosted at SUBURB RESTRO located at Lower Sichey
The event began with a welcoming speech by Mr Rohan Gurung followed by felicitations to our honoured guests
Mr Jigmee Bhutia a renowned social worker and a sports enthusiast from Arithang who has always supported our team throughout the years , addressing the players Mr Jigmee pointed out key points to further strengthen our team , about the learnings of his own life and the discipline and courage sports taught him over the years .

Mr Bhaichung Bhutia a vital member of our community who has always worked behind the scenes for our players helping us out in every way possible be it attending matches to support the team or by providing with vital insights from our performances

On 7th of july
Avengers cricket club organised a Thanksgiving ceremony for all our executives and supporter who were the backbone for our journey to the A-division from the very first beginning.

The ceremony started with introduction from our captain Mr. Puran Giri and senior player Mr. Arpan Gurung.

Followed by presentation of momentos and appreciation of love to our esteemed executive members.
Our honorable President sir
Mr.Deo Ashish Thapa addresed the whole team with his ever boosting words of appreciation and everlasting support to the players.
Later on all the players were awarded certificate for their great run in the SICA B Division league.
The event concluded with a surprise cake cutting by the executive for the whole team .
We team Avengers would like to thank all our supporters for their love and believe that we would make to the top tier cricket league of our state
