One of the most common questions I am asked is whether the glamour industry is real or fake.
My answer is simple: the industry itself is neither completely glamorous nor completely fake-it is a reflection of the people within it.
What most people see is the final picture-the crowns, the titles, the fashion shows, the photoshoots, the social media posts, and the applause. What they often don't see are the countless hours of preparation, rejection, self-doubt, discipline, learning, and hard work behind those moments.
Like every industry, this one has its positives and its challenges. There are genuine professionals, mentors, agencies, and platforms that are committed to nurturing talent and creating opportunities. At the same time, there are unrealistic expectations, shortcuts, and misconceptions that can mislead aspiring individuals.
The mistake many people make is confusing appearance with reality. Glamour is a presentation; it is not the whole story. Behind every successful model, pageant winner, actor, or influencer is a human being navigating the same emotions, struggles, and uncertainties that everyone else experiences.
As a mentor, I encourage aspiring talent to enter this industry with open eyes, realistic expectations, and a strong sense of self-worth. Don't be blinded by the glamour, and don't be discouraged by the negativity. Focus on learning, growing, building skills, and staying authentic.
