Match 3 Report
Toss - Captain Jatin lost the toss. Opposition decided to Bowl first on a very flat pitch with no assistance for bowlers. Only aid was breezy air flowing time to time.

Batting- Amit opened with Dinesh and played a fluent inning. We lost two quick wickets after 5 overs, Dinesh, Sauvik perishing early. Jatin bhai steadied the ship in Amit ji company. Amit ji played one of his fastest knock with strike rate over 140 (40 runs of 28 balls) with one superb straight drive. Jatin ji got out for 19 off 16 balls. Run rate was great, we were 94-4 after 10 overs.

Mahesh was joined by Anuj, and both of them great innings. Mahesh ji was in form and put up real show, struck boundaries all around, 10 of them. His knock of 76 (37 bal) had 3 l***y sixes. 3 cover drives were a treat to watch. Anuj bhai rotated strike well and gave enough strike to Mahesh ji and changed gears when needed. Two hits over the boundary through cover and extra cover shown the real class. Anuj ji muscled his way to 34 of 20 balls and took team to 204 in 20 overs.

Bowling- Raj bhai started inning with wicket maiden. HItender and Sauvik took a wicket each to complete power play. Not many runs given, 34 runs were given in first 6 over and that effectively closed the game for opposition. And 3 more wickets until 10 overs, we had firm grip on match. Highlight of the period was bowlers sticking to captains plan and bowling to the given fields.

Second change bowlers had a tough time today with Opposition hammering over 60 runs in 10-15. Good learning here for us, and we will focus on short of good lengths in practice sessions. Jatin bhai created pressure again with 2 tight overs, picked 2 wickets. Opposition could muster 168 in 20 overs, we won by 42 runs.

Fielding - Hitender took three catches (2 in field, 1 keeping), Ground fielding was little patchy but was par as ground was little uneven. There were two drops as well.

Tournament - Match 1 Report
Opponent - Piyush Heights

Toss - Cap Kamal won the toss and decided to Bat first considering wet outfield, had to contend with damp strip up first on flip side.

Batting - Dinesh and Jatin ji opened today and gave a lively start. Scored 21 and 18 respectively but kept the momentum with a run rate of 10 RPO. Kamal ji coming at three scored 17 and kept an end secure. Souvik starred with Bat once again with a brilliant 57 off just 36 deliveries, built on the openers platform. As Souvik got out in 18th over, we couldn’t quite finish the innings but timely 15 runs from Amarjeet ensured 181 in 20 overs.

Piyush leaked quite a few extras 37 in total. We have never lost a match after scoring 170 and the score was definitely about par.

Bowling - Souvik started with a maiden, Hitender got in rhythm in his second over and took two wickets in 4th over and pegged Piyush back. Souvik continued his great rhythm and finished 4 overs for just 3 runs. After opposition was 36/2 in pursuit of 182, so quite a good power play for us.

Mittal ji and Sunil coming after opening bowler, bowled superbly and kept run rate in check. Mittal ji was most successful bowler with 3 wickets in his 4 overs for just 18 runs. Sunil didn’t gave anything in his two and was unlucky with two LBWs turned down by umpire. It was more of a practice past 10 and Amarjeet cashed in with a nice run out and a wicket.

Fielding - One international standard Catch from young boy Mohit was great and Jatin Jis superb effort at midwicket, running catch after relinquishing gloves to Hitender. Ground fielding was sharp, Dinesh was quick stopping singles and Devansh made nice sliding stops. Three catch drops but they didn’t prove costly.
Hitender effected two stumpings as well.

Good Start to the tournament opener, need to keep the focus on for next few weeks.

Match Report - Jajru Sports Club ( Must say, it is one of the best outfields that we have played so far, ground was almost square with about 60 meters boundaries. Pitch also had nice bounce and carry, even spinners get good purchase if bowl well)

Toss- Won by Captain Kamal, Decided to bat first in dewy conditions.

Batting - Regular Opener Amit Ji and Dinesh bhai were back and gave us a superlative opening. Amit ji started off with 3 boundaries in first over but were left behind in decimation from Dinesh Bhai. Dinesh Bhai was in sixth gear today and kept the accelerator on. Amit ji made a fast 37 runs and out in 10th over with score reading 110. Dinesh bhai continued his attack for next two overs and got out for 83 off just 44 deliveries. Missing out on well deserved century.
Score - 130/2 in 12.4 over

Then we batted as poor as we could and kept loosing wicket without any acceleration. Our Dhoni (Jatin Ji) then kept an end secure and went for jugular in last over, struck 4 boundaries. Jatin ji made timely and superb 31 runs to take team to 171/9 in 20 overs.

Batting Star of the Day- Dinesh Bhai 84

Bowling - Sauvik and Hitender started the bowling, kept opposition in check and took a wicket each in first six overs. After power play opposition was 26/2. Rishav 3-0-8-1, Hitender 4-0-23-1.
Mittal ji got some stick today in first over, Manan got another breakthrough on very second bowl of his spell. Opposition then had a good partnership and reached 72/3 in first 10.

Post break Rishav, got two wickets on two deliveries and was deprived off a hattrick, courtesy a drop catch at mid wicket. Dinesh bhai also struck gold with ball, bowling out highest scorer of the opposition and took 2 for 22 runs in his 3 overs.. Jatin ji rolled his arm over for two good overs. Mittal ji and Kamal ji closed the match with wicket in 19th and 20th over respectively.

Nice comeback by Falcons, after last weeks drubbing at Dalal Ground. Happy Weekend Falcons....

Match Report - Chhatrapati Sec 63 against SPCC
6 Jan 2019

Toss - Captain Kamal won the toss and decided to bowl first. Slight Damp pitch and heavy weather around, made us opt out of Bat first plan.

Bowling - Raj and Hitender started bowling, kept Opposition in check, Hitender took 2 wickets in his first over as well. Souvik came in first change and got another wicket in his 2nd over. Sourabh bowled his first two over economically, as chances were dropped and boundaries were given on misfiled.
Opposition was 85 for 4 in 14 overs. That’s where we lost bit of plot, allowed them to score 58 in last 6 overs. Catches (2 straight in hands and 2 slightly difficult one were sprayed, and least 4 boundaries went through hands. Another overthrow in last over conceded 5. Opposition ran between the wickets, very well and converted many ones in to twos.

Bowling today was very good, Saurabh, Souvik, Raj Bhai all bowled fast spells. Had fielding been sharp, we certainly would have stopped opposition below 120.

They reached 143 in 20 overs, which was certainly par considering large boundaries on the ground.

Batting -
Amit ji and Jatin ji opened, started cautiously against bit of swing early on. Amit ji cut loose in fifth and got the run rate going to 8. Amit ji was out in 6 over for 24 off 20 balls. Kamal ji joined Jatin bhai in middle and kept run rate ticking. Both strung together a long partnership. Jatin Ji scored 50 off 48 balls and when he got out we needed 23 off 24 balls. Souvik joined Kamal ji but perished after scoring 2 runs. HItender joined Kamal ji but scored 1 off 4 deliveries. Last over we needed 7 but kamal ji got out on 3rd delivery, Raj bhai on 5 delivery. Kamal ji played well for his 49 off 41 balls but couldn’t finish.

Freakish Match this one, as this was not meant to be, but we found a way to loose. Bowling was ordinary, just the nerves got us. Many points, Set batsmen could have scored bit for freely in middle overs, but they left less then 6 runs an over with 8 wickets in Bag. All the Blame on guys in Middle order. lot of introspection needed and need to make amends real quick, hopefully in next match....

Match: Savana Falcons vs India Forge

Match dated: 29th Dec'18

In absence of our regular spokeperson Hiteu below is a short summary of today's match:

Citing cold and dew Captain Kamal Ji opted to bat first. In absence of regular openers Anuj & Jatin opened with, and Anuj getting bowled on first ball which was a good inswing delivery and unbelievable to be the 1st ball of the match. Jaideep joined as 1st down with Jatin & both of them had a partnership of 70 plus runs smashing & punching the ball all around against a good pace attack, we have come across recently. Post Jatin & Jaideep departure Souvik & Vikram continued the momentum with Souvik hitting some mind boggling shots over the covers. We ended up making 160 runs which was short of 20 odd runs on a small ground with a good start.

In absence of our strike bowler Mittal Ji joined Souvik for the opening spell and both of them ensured a tight spell which led to a continuous fall of India Forge wickets. Sunil, Vikram & Souvik respectively captured 3, 3 & 2 wickets, a formidable bowling performance by the trio with match going into last over and Savana Falcons winning by 15 runs.

Bowlers were equally supported by the fielders with no major miss which could have dented the win!

Match Report
(This WIN is dedicated to VIKRAM Bhai, who played his last match for us last week and we couldn't close the game for him then, Lets wish him best for his journey)

Toss - Won, New Captain Kamal ji, decided to Bat first keeping dew on outfield.

Batting - There was fog around and Match was delayed by almost 40 minutes. Dinesh ji and Vikas bhai opened the inning and gave a solid start, They were aided liberally by extras as well. Dinesh was controversially given cought behind for a quickfire 23 ball 32. Debu bhai joined and kept good run rate. we were 103 or 2 after 10 overs.

Vikas bhai was out to blinder of a catch by bowler who stuck his hand in line of fire and ball stuck, scored 36. Sauvik and Kamal ji made quick 25 and 23 each before getting out around 16th over. Hitender (22 off 13 balls) joined Jaideep and took team close to 200. Sunil struck a l***y blow in last over to take team to 209 in 20 overs.

Definitely 20 above par considering small boundaries on the ground.

Bowling - Hitender started the bowling with souvik. Ball swung and seamed appreciably for both. Hitender took 2 wickets in his three overs but went for 38 runs. Souvik was star of show with 4 consecutive overs of mayhem, took 6 wickets for 21 runs only.

Souvik earned himself Best Bowling analysis ever by a Falcon eclipsing efforts of Mittal ji (5 wickets twice, HItender once). This is in addition to Best score of 120 by a Falcon,which he struck last year.

New Falcon, Sunil bowled a nice spell of 3.3 overs, gave only 14 and closed the game with 2 wickets. Rishav and Jitu bowled nicely as well.

Opposition was bowled out for 113 and Falcons won by 86 runs. We tied with this team two weeks before and it was nice payback, served HOT on a COLD morning. Fielding was alright today with no drops and Rishav catching a sharp one at covers.

In last few months, we have got some nice additions to team, Vikas ji (Batsmen), Manan (All round), Sunil (Bowl), Jitu (Bowl) and Debu Bhai (All round). Now we have strong core and we need to build over it with practice session each week.

Lets keep it going on... in colder climes ..😄
