🏏Soham Rane continues form, scores an effortless half century in T20 Corporate final for Omni Global against CapGemini..

16 years old Soham Rane has been in Red hot form lately and continued his Midas touch with the bat in the all important T20 finals against a strong opposition in CapGemini. In his knock of 5 boundaries and 2 sixes Soham played at ease and smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground helping Omni Global reach a modest total of 158 runs.

🏏Highlight of the innings:
CapGemini requiring just 3 runs in the final over, it took return of Man Of the hour Soham Rane to roll his arm over and attempt the almost impossible task of defending those 3 runs. With some clever bowling, he stretched the match till the last bowl, requiring 1 run to get off 1 delivery. Cap Gemini somehow managed to get that single and close off the match but Soham impressed one and all with his all round performance.

PRACTICE WITH A PURPOSE✅🎥
🏏Sharp eyes, Soft Hands & Quick Feet..

🏏Once you’re done facing the quicks, you will get spinners operating from both ends because of the nature of wickets in subcontinent. Hence you need to train yourself the best & hardest way possible to find it easier in a match.

🏏What we want to achieve?
1. Decisiveness
2. Backing your defence
3. Eradicating the possibilities of getting out at silly point or short leg
4. Playing with soft hands
5. Not thinking about the wicket too much
6. Playing late and getting to the pitch of the ball
7. Getting used to playing the ball out of the rough

🏏THE DRILL:
We’ve placed the Red Chair as (short leg) and the 2 cones as (silly point) + slip and leg slip which are imaginary. We asked them to play on literally a rough outfield where bowlers were asked to bowl from 18 yards.

🏏Playing against spin on a rough, broken wicket and dry wicket is no easy job. It requires decisiveness with the fielders around the bat all the time.

🏏You aren’t quite sure how the ball will turn and bounce hence the job becomes even more difficult to handle.

🏏The batsmen in the video learnt how to tackle the bounce & turn by watching the ball from the hand, playing late and also decide quickly. It is a great drill to back your defence when the fielders are around the bat.

🏏✅Note: Out of all the points, the most important point is your ‘decision making’ ability which will help you tackle spinners on a dusty & broken wicket.

🏏The best players in the world carry the quality of ‘Ownership’ no matter what.

🏏Excuses & Blame 👀are some common factors we see amongst young players now a days. It doesn’t help you at all and you know it from within but you do it anyway for a short lived satisfaction.
——
🏏If you get out playing a bad shot or bad fielding etc, it’s you who’s doing it not anyone else. Have the guts to say I was not good enough.

🏏In this game you will have more failures than success and it has been the same for all the greats of the game. But how did they attain greatness?🤔
——
The answer is simply took ownership and responsibility of their actions. It is always in your control. In fact these are the only things in your control.

🏏Blaming others & giving excuses won’t help your progress, in fact you will waste time.
———
🏏Start taking responsibility for all the actions. Your dismissals, your bad form etc are totally yours. Nobody else will take the responsibility if you won’t.
——
🏏Start ACTING and stop BLAMING.
