Delhi Team Wins 41 Medals at the 14th Pre-Teen, Pre-Junior and Junior National Pencak Silat Championship 2026–27
The 14th Pre-Teen, Pre-Junior and Junior National Pencak Silat Championship 2026–27 was successfully held from 25th to 28th July 2026 at the Indoor Stadium, Sant Janardan Swami Ashram, Nashik, Maharashtra.
The championship witnessed the participation of approximately 3,000athletes representing various States and Union Territories across India, making it one of the largest national Pencak Silat events in the country.
The Delhi State Pencak Silat Team, comprising 73 athletes, delivered an exceptional performance throughout the championship. Competing with dedication, discipline, and determination, the Delhi contingent secured an impressive total of 41 medals, including:
11 Gold Medals
12 Silver Medals
18 Bronze Medals
This outstanding achievement reflects the hard work, commitment, and collective efforts of the athletes, coaches, team officials, district associations, schools, parents, and the Pencak Silat Sports Association of Delhi (PSSAD). Their dedication has once again brought pride and recognition to Delhi at the national level.
On this remarkable achievement, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, General Secretary of the Pencak Silat Sports Association of Delhi (PSSAD), congratulated the athletes, coaches, and all those who contributed to the team's success. He said:
"The outstanding performance of the Delhi team has once again demonstrated that discipline, hard work, and dedication are the keys to success. Winning 41 medals at a national championship is a matter of immense pride for the entire Delhi Pencak Silat family. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, team officials, district associations, schools, parents, and supporters for this historic achievement. Our objective is to continue providing better training, opportunities, and support to our athletes so that they can excel not only at the national level but also on the international stage."
Mr. Rajesh Kumar further stated that the Pencak Silat Sports Association of Delhi (PSSAD) remains committed to the overall development of athletes and to the promotion and growth of Pencak Silat in Delhi and across the country.
