The land, in real time 🌦️

Our weather page just got a major upgrade β€” live conditions at TVC (temperature, humidity, sunset time), plus rainfall tracked daily on-site going back to 2023. This monsoon, we're running noticeably behind last year's pace, in line with the El NiΓ±o pattern forecasters flagged for India's southwest monsoon.

We've also added our night sky brightness reading β€” TVC sits under some of the darkest, least light-polluted skies around.

We've updated the team page on our website to better reflect the people driving Tamarind Valley Collective forward.

TVC is a 98-acre regenerative farming community in Thaggatti Village, Tamil Nadu β€” home to 53 member families since 2017. Behind the ecological work is a dedicated staff: from farm leadership and naturalist expertise to craftsmanship and daily operations that keep the community running.

🌱 Our website just got a fresh new look!

Visit tvc.farm to explore Tamarind Valley Collective β€” 98 acres of the Melagiri Hills near Kanakapura, regenerated by 53 families since 2017 through permaculture and reforestation.

The new site is built around two journeys:
🌿 Explore β€” our story, our people, the biodiversity we're regenerating, and upcoming events
🀝 Engage β€” plan a visit, camp overnight, host an event, or join the collective

We now have a camera trap at the farm and here is the first sighting. A jungle cat, quite elusive, they prey on small mammals and birds. Please ignore the dates since we realised only now that date and time were not set.

Green is everyone's favourite colour. We get a mention in the most recent ToI article through our members Sameer Shisodia and Shubha Ramachandran. Read on.

The sky is overcast, but residents of Koramangala 1st Block refuse to let the weather dampen their spirits. On a vacant plot inside the layout, they have created a thriving organic garden, nurturing banana, drumstick and hibiscus plants.
