A fantastic performance from Tejaswin Shankar, who won the Decathlon Bronze Medal at the Commonwealth Games with a total score of 7,976 points.
His event-wise performance was as follows: 100m in 10.96s (870 points, 7th place), Long Jump of 7.82m (1015 points, 3rd place), Shot Put of 13.09m (673 points, 5th place), High Jump of 2.15m (944 points, 2nd place), 400m in 49.51s (837 points, 2nd place), 110m Hurdles in 14.41s (922 points, 2nd place), Discus Throw of 40.44m (674 points, 2nd place), Pole Vault of 4.30m (702 points, 4th place), Javelin Throw of 53.12m (635 points, 3rd place), and 1500m in 4:36.19 (704 points, 5th place).
It was an outstanding display of grit, especially after he was forced to withdraw from the high jump event due to an acute patella tendon injury that left him unable to walk. His remarkable comeback and consistency across all 10 events made this achievement even more special.
