She is the first generation in her family, who chose her career in the field of Kathak Dance. This exceptionally talented and creative danseuse, is also an empaneled artist and has been practicing at one of the prime institutions of India named ‘NIRTYA KALA NIKETAN' (New Delhi), which is originally connected to the legendary Kathak Maestro and the most celebrated Kathak Guru “MUKTA DWARIKA MISHRA”. Mastering her skills through “The Guru-Shishya Parampara” she holds a First-Class Masters’ Degree in Kathak Dance from PRAYAG SANGEET SAMITI, ALLHABAD and a FIRST DIVISION “PRABHAKAR” DEGREE in ‘Kathak’ from “PRAYAG SANGEET SAMITI University”. This multi-faceted young dancer also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in SITAR from Delhi University. Having a rich experience of more than 20 Years in teaching Kathak and Performing Arts, she has won plethora of awards at various levels. Basis her deep understanding of the subject, she has developed a curriculum having a modern and easy approach, using learning techniques that are easy to adapt for today’s youth and hence is very popular with students. While at the same time adhering to the “Traditional Indian Classical Dance Values”.
