For months people were writing him off, calling him finished and outdated, but one opportunity was enough for him to silence all the criticism with his bat.
The way he handled pressure, rotated strike, and played those elegant shots showed that there is still a lot of cricket left in him. Experience can never be underestimated in a tournament like the IPL, and Manish Pandey proved exactly that. While youngsters bring aggression, players like him bring calmness, maturity, and the ability to control difficult situations.
His innings was not just about runs, it was about making a statement. A statement that talent and hunger do not vanish overnight. Sometimes players only need trust, backing, and a proper chance to show what they are capable of. After sitting on the bench for so long, coming directly into the playing XI and delivering a match-winning performance takes immense mental strength and confidence.

Sometimes, getting selected in the IPL auction is not enough. Going to the wrong team under a clueless captain can completely ruin a young player’s career, confidence, and self-belief.

The biggest example right now is Arjun Tendulkar. This young man has been one of the hardest-working players in the LSG net sessions. LSG’s social media team keeps posting his videos and using his surname to gain attention and followers, but when it comes to giving him an actual opportunity, they completely ignore him.

Despite the team delivering poor performances and already being out of the tournament, Arjun still didn’t get even a single game. You can clearly see the disappointment on his face.

Rishabh Pant tried almost every player from his Delhi circle, but still didn’t give one chance to this young man. A player’s confidence gets destroyed when he keeps working hard every day and still gets no opportunity to prove himself.
