Shaastra IIT Madras presents you, Blitz Chess Online Open Chess Tournament!

Platform: chess.com
Date: 27th February 2021
Time Control: 3 minutes + 1 second increment
Format: Swiss Format, 12 rounds
Eligibility: The tournament is Open To All.
Entry Fee: The entry fee for this tournament is 200 INR. Free entry for Titled Players.
Last Date for Registration: 26th February 10:00 pm
Participants need to be ready at least 15 minutes before the start of 1st Round (i.e. 3:45 pm)
Link of the online tournament will be shared with the participants a day before the tournament.

Bored with being self quarantined? We have the right escape for you. IITM Chess club brings to you IITM Open on it’s very new online chess club platform on chess.com.
This is not all, we have a lot of fun activities planned for students, professors and Alumni throughout the year using this portal and the only way to know is to join and stay tuned.

The IIT Madras Chess Club in collaboration with the chess clubs of IIT-Delhi, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Roorkee and IIT-Guwahati presents the Blitz Battle Royal 2.0 on 8th March, a premier platform where the participants get a chance to represent and bring glory to their institute!

After the huge success of the first edition with over 600 players across all institutes, this edition promises to be bigger and better. Everyone is requested to go through the rulebook and register, as every individual can contribute to the overall tally!

This time, the tournament will be based on the lichess team format and you can play the tournament only on the website edition on your mobile or desktop. On registration, you will receive an email with further instructions

The Online Blitz Battle Royale is here, a one-of-a-kind online chess blitz event comprising of the chess player's from 10 different IIT's, pitting their players against each other on the online stage to battle for glory!

This is a great opportunity for players of all levels to showcase their skills at an inter-institute level event, with exciting prizes for the best players of the tournament!

So get your game mode on and participate in large numbers to help us win this grand event, as every player contributes to the overall tally of their institute!
