Sri K.Gopinathan is the founder & Director of “Shri Bharatha Kala Ashram (Regd) at Perambur & Thiruvanmiyur and at perungudi
Sri.k.Gopinathan started his career as a “Kalari” artist at Palakkadu in Kerala state. He moved to Chennai and started learning classic music in the year of 1984 under the guidance of Guru Shri.Dhakshinamoorthi, as well as he started learning Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Sri.D.Gunaseelan (Dip. and became a great Perfomer, Teacher & a Choreographer. His selfless dedicated hard work uplifted Sri.K.Gopinathan to be the founder of Shri Baharatha Kala Ashram (Regd) at Perambur perungudi andThiruvanmiyur. His special talent of identifying the inborn qualities of a child in the field of Bharatanatyam brought out students as a good dancers – a concomitance of sincere teaching-both theory ,nattuvangam and Practical aspects of dance for past 30 years .In Addition to this He also Peens Lyrics for dance Compositions . As There is no end for learning. Sri.K.Gopinathan & Smt..Sunitha Gopinathan are pursuing their quest for learning under the able guidance of Guru . Prof.Shri.C.V.Chandrasekhar (Padmabhushan Awardee )& Smt.Jaya Chandrasekhar.and Nattuvangam from Guru. Bhagavathula Shri .Seetarama Sarma and tamil texts from Prof.Dr. S. Raghuraman
