One of the highlights of Anubhav’s first workshop series was the lecture by Janaki Srinivasan, which took us on a journey through the history of the arts and connected it to the present-day dance scenario. She guided us on the dos and don’ts, reflected on the aesthetics of all classical forms, and reminded us that art is bigger than us. She emphasized how fortunate we are to carry this skill forward to the next generations and inspired us to responsibly preserve this heritage. We are truly blessed to have had this experience.
Janaki Akka is a Senior Arts Commentator, Arts Editor, and Journalist with over 35 years of experience. She is a core committee member of Natyarangam, the dance wing of Narad Gana Sabha, a popular speaker and writer, and above all, a true Rasika. 🙏
