NATIONAL WEBINAR ON KALARI ADIMURAI by

The faculty of physical education and sports organized a National level Webinar on Kalari Adimurai on 20th October 2021 by 2.30 pm.
Dr. M.Muniasamy, the exponent in the art of Kalari Adimurai, gave a vivid presentation of the art. He was agile and eminent in describing the various stages of Kalari Adimurai by demonstrating the art. He described the history of the Indian Art starting from Kanyakumari of Tamilnadu and the famous gurus. It was excellent and worthy event.

WEBINAR ON COVID 19 3rd WAVE – PREVENTIVE MEASURES

The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports organized a one day Webinar on 26th October 2021 between
2.30 and 4.00 pm.
He started with What is COVID and a problem statement about the disease.. He graphically presented the impact of the disease worldwide and in India.
He questioned whether we are going for third wave and gave the following conditions that may trigger the third wave.
Reproduction Number – R-Factor
R0 = 2 = 1 person to 2 person in a double. Number of second infection from the infected person.
Rt. Factor – drop down to 1.3 Pandemic ends when R < 1.
He touched up on the current status of the COVID in India and the very dangerous delta variant was the one that created the problem of second wave. He explained the methods of preventing the III wave by breaking the chain of infection. Stay at home since the disease does not come to you but you move towards it. Next is the vaccination against COVID and the following of the SOP.
He advised to use 3 layered cotton masks, non woven fabric and polyester or nylon masks to be safe. He advised not to have any misconceptions, use hand washing soaps and hand sanitizers. He explained about the use of Gyms safely without sweating, avoiding of common places, avoid poor ventilated areas.
