What an incredible journey it has been! Today marks the grand finale of the Weekend Cricket Community League 2026, and what a match it was! 🎉

⚔️ Panthers vs Alpha — the ultimate showdown!

After months of thrilling cricket, early morning matches, and unforgettable moments on the field, the PANTHERS have emerged as our CHAMPIONS! 🐾🥇

From the very first ball bowled back in December to today's glorious final on March 15th — this tournament has been nothing short of spectacular. The dedication, the sportsmanship, and the passion shown by every single team has made this league something truly special. 💪

A huge congratulations to the Panthers — you earned every bit of it! 👏
A massive shoutout to Alpha for an incredible final — you made us proud! 🙌
And thank you to EVERY player, supporter, and volunteer who made this season unforgettable. ❤️

From a simple idea in 2008 to a proud cricketing family that stands strong today — 17 incredible years of passion, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

Weekend Cricket Community is more than just a professional cricket club. It is a home for cricket lovers, a platform for talent, and a bond that connects players beyond the boundary lines. Over the years, we’ve witnessed thrilling matches, hard-fought victories, painful defeats, lifelong friendships, and countless moments that shaped who we are today.

Every run scored, every wicket taken, every cheer from the boundary, and every handshake after the game tells a story of commitment, respect, and love for the game. This journey would not have been possible without the dedication of our founders, organizers, players, supporters, umpires, and everyone who has been part of this family at any stage.

Today, we don’t just celebrate a birthday — we celebrate 17 years of unity, sportsmanship, and cricketing spirit. The journey continues, stronger than ever, with new dreams, new goals, and the same passion that started it all.

On December 24, 2009, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, a young Virat Kohli announced himself on the big stage.

Playing the 4th ODI against Sri Lanka, Kohli scored his maiden ODI century — a composed and confident 107. The official scorecard reads: India vs Sri Lanka, 4th ODI, Dec 24, 2009, Eden Gardens.

What looked like just another century that day turned out to be the starting point of something extraordinary. From this knock, Kohli went on to redefine consistency, hunger, and greatness, eventually becoming the highest ODI century scorer in the history of the game.
