If you’re in Europe this summer—or know someone who is—this might be for you 🇫🇷✨

This August, I’ll be in France co-guiding a retreat with a beautiful French teacher, , who has thoughtfully created this space—coming together with a shared intention to hold something deeper.

A space for practice—asana, pranayama, meditation, workshops, and simply slowing down…
not just doing yoga, but experiencing it as a way of being.

Follow the call if it resonates 🤍

There comes a point in practice where yoga is no longer about the body.
Not about how deep you stretch, how long you hold, or how well you perform.

It becomes a quiet unfolding.

By gently moving beyond the limitations of the body, the restlessness of the mind, and the pull of the senses, we begin to touch something subtler… a space of still awareness.

This is what the yogic tradition points toward—a superconscious state.
Not something to chase, but something that reveals itself when we soften enough.

Whether the path is through devotion, inquiry, action, or meditation, the essence remains the same:
a return to clarity, to presence, to what lies beyond the noise.

Yoga is not just a practice.
It is a doorway inward.

Kashi (Varanasi / Banaras) — 9 days here… a stay many believe isn’t just a coincidence.

One of the oldest living cities in the world,
where life and death exist side by side.

Along the Ganga, across the ghats,
everything unfolds in its raw, unfiltered form.

At Manikarnika Ghat,
cremations continue day and night—
a constant reminder of impermanence.

People come here with deep faith—
to perform rituals for their ancestors,
to take a dip in the Ganga,
and with the belief that being here,
or even dying here,
can bring moksha—liberation from the cycle of life and death.

This is the city of Shiva—
and that presence is felt everywhere.

But Kashi is not calm or quiet.

It is chaotic, crowded, intense…
sometimes overwhelming.

It shows you everything—
life, death, devotion, noise, stillness—
all at once.

It tests your patience.
It challenges your expectations.

And yet… something about it stays with you.

There are many layers to Kashi—
far more than I can put into words here.

And somewhere in all of this—
when you stop resisting,
when you simply observe—
something shifts.

Not outside.
But within.

Not peace—
but truth.

Closing the circle 🤍

As our days together in Kerala slowly came to an end, we gathered once again — this time to pause, reflect, and honour the journey we had shared.

Through mandala creation, sound bath, quiet reflection, and messages drawn from the yogic deck, the closing ceremony became a gentle space of integration. Each colour placed on the mandala, each sound vibration, each shared moment carried the essence of everything we had experienced together.

Over these days, our journey moved through practice, nature, culture, conversation, silence, and laughter.

And yet, it is difficult to truly capture what a retreat holds. So much of it lives in the spaces between — in the subtle shifts within, in the connections formed, and in the quiet moments that words cannot fully describe.

What we shared here was far more than what any post can show.

Deeply grateful to every participant who brought their presence, openness, and heart to this experience.

Until the next journey… 🌿

Immersed in the culture of Kerala 🌿

This retreat unfolded not only through our practices, but also through experiencing the spirit of the land itself.

We visited temples carrying centuries of devotion, wandered through local villages, shared traditional food, explored nearby places, and slowed down with quiet nature walks through Kerala’s lush landscapes.

There was also space simply to pause — to sit, relax, and enjoy unstructured moments together.

These experiences added another layer to the journey, allowing us to connect not only with ourselves, but also with the culture, landscapes, and rhythms of the place that held us.

Retreats become richer when practice is experienced alongside the living traditions and everyday life of the land we visit.

The Practice, in Many Spaces 🤍

From open terraces kissed by the morning sun to quiet halls holding deep stillness, from expansive mountain views to the lush green tea estates stretching endlessly around us — our practice unfolded in ever-changing landscapes.

Breathing in the crisp air of the tea gardens, moving gently as mist lingered over the hills, each space invited a different quality of presence.

Sunrise yoga as the sky softened into gold.
Pranayama to steady and deepen the breath.
Meditation in shared silence.
Yin and restorative sessions to soften and integrate.
Workshops that opened space for inquiry, reflection, and connection.

Different landscapes. Different rhythms.
Yet one shared intention — to move with awareness rather than effort.

Wherever we practiced — terrace, hall, hillside, or tea estate — the mat became a space of grounding and expansion.

Held by the land 🌿
Kerala has a way of slowing you down.

Lush green landscapes stretching endlessly.
Mountain air and coastal breeze.
Birdsong at dawn.
Golden light filtering through palms.

In the midst of such beauty, practice feels different. Breath deepens. Movements soften. Silence becomes easier to enter.

This retreat was not just shaped by what we did — but by where we were.

Nature here doesn’t demand attention. It gently invites presence.

Kerala Retreat 🤍🌿

From our very first opening circle, this journey unfolded with depth and intention.

It held everything — yoga practice, pranayama, meditation, yin and restorative sessions, meaningful workshops, cultural immersion, and sacred spiritual experiences — all woven together in the heart of Kerala.

What began as vision evolved into a shared creation, shaped with care, trust, and collective intention. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to co-create and bring this experience to life together.

Watching it all unfold — temple visits, heartfelt conversations, shared laughter, and quiet meditative mornings — has been truly humbling.

Grateful for every participant who brought their openness, curiosity, and presence.

More glimpses from this beautiful experience soon ✨
