In the presence of Hon’ble MLA Shri Bankim Chandra Ghosh and under the supervision of Nadia District Sports Karate Do Association, a felicitation ceremony was organized today for the talented players of Nadia district who secured first positions at the state level and are set to represent West Bengal at the National Karate Championship to be held in Dehradun from 3rd to 7th June.
A total of four players from Nadia district — three girls and one boy — will participate in this prestigious national event, which is a matter of immense pride for the district.
On this occasion, the Hon’ble MLA provided sponsorship support of ₹3,000 each to all four players, amounting to a total of ₹12,000. In addition, Nadia District Sports Karate Do Association contributed ₹3,000 per player sponsorship support.
Previously, Karate-Do Association of Bengal had also sponsored ₹3,000 per player along with the National Karate Championship entry fees, official T-shirts for all players, and medical health insurance coverage worth ₹2 lakh for each participant.
