Kerala Beach League is India's first professional beach football league. KBL is promoted by ESA Media and supported by the Kerala Football Association and is India's premier beach football league. Kerala Beach League has been conceived for the following reasons;
1. Vast coastline of Kerala with aplenty of tourist destination beaches that makes it suitable for beach football.
2. Popularity and lo
ve for football across the state irrespective of age.
3. To develop local talent across the state and shape them to compete in the global arena of beach football.
4. To provide unraveled entertainment and excitement for football lovers across the country.
5. To make Kerala establish itself in the global sports map as a beach football destination. The league will feature 5 coastal cities that have popular beaches that are tourist destinations and are also well known for the love of football. Local talent from 9 districts that have beaches would be identified and untapped for the league. The cities featured in the first season of Kerala Beach League are Trivandrum, Kochi, Malappuram, Calicut and Kannur.
