Ishani Gupta of TMAA Seishinkai Bardhaman Represents West Bengal at the 69th SGFI National School Games

The 69th SGFI National Karate School Games (2025-2026), held under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), took place in Pune, Maharashtra, from January 26th to February 2nd, 2026. This prestigious national championship featured top athletes in the Under-17 and Under-19 categories for both boys and girls.

Ishani Gupta, a dedicated athlete from TMAA Seishinkai Bardhaman, earned the honor of representing the West Bengal Team on the national stage. Competing in the U-17 Girls -48 kg Kumite category, Ishani demonstrated great skill and spirit throughout her match.

While she delivered a commendable performance, she unfortunately lost in the first round. Despite the result, her participation at this level remains a significant achievement for the district. We are confident she will return stronger in future competitions.

The spirit of Seishinkai Sh*to-Ryu was on full display at Delhi Public School (DPS), Belgram, Burdwan, as the school successfully hosted its annual Intra-School Karate Competition on January 31st and February 1st, 2026! πŸ†βœ¨

Under the technical guidance of the Purba Bardhaman Seishinkai Sh*to-Ryu Karate-Do Association, 48 talented young karatekas from Classes I to X showcased incredible discipline and skill across 12 categories in both Kata and Kumite.

Under the visionary leadership of Hanshi Premjit Sen and the expert management of the All India Seishinkai Sh*to-Ryu Karate-Do Federation, 10th West Bengal Inter School Karate Championship - Bengal Little Legends Cup 2026 was held at South City International School, Kolkata, on January 25th, 2026.

The arena buzzed with the energy of nearly 1,200 competitors representing over 120 schools from across the state.
