Hi guys,
Here's our new video. Team Local Kung Fu 2 came to Bongaigaon on Monday, 17th April, 2017 and we had organized an event.
And regarding our previous video, we had some controversy, hope this video can probably address a few.
We are promoting assamese films, the need of more of them being unique and based on stories deviating from the typical masala movies and especially the need for martial arts. This ancient art form should be more practiced and appreciated.
And nevertheless, on the said event, during the QnA, a fan asked,
Why is that Assamese films do not get release dates on bollywood movie dates..
The answer given by Anupam Baishya, associate director, LKF2 and William Shakespeare in the LKF2 trailers,
"...This is a business, for us, for them [the movie theatres] after all. If our dates clash with them, the bollywood movies are superhit, our movies generally don't garner as much hype as them. And so there is loss for the theatres, so we don't get. And for the bollywood movies, it affects our performance also, if a bollywood movie is screened on 11:45 and our movie is screened on 2:15, one person who watches the bollywood one is unlikely to watch it again on 2:15. So, if you want us to not care about release dates, come to the theatres in movies in large numbers, if the theatres are convinced that there is demand for good assamese movies, this will not be an issue"
