IAKO is the pioneer in introducing, promoting and controling Kickboxing sport in India since last two decades under the able leadership of its Founder and President Engineer S.S. The National Kickboxing Federation known as IAKO (Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisations) is the pioneer in introducing and representing the International Kickboxing Federation WAKO (World Association of kickboxin

g Organisations) in India for two decades successfully. He came in contact with WAKO President Mr. Ennio Falsoni in 1993 and introduced Kickboxing in India through his organization PUMAS INTERNATIONAL. Later stage he founded IAKO for greater interest of its members which became instrumental in introducing Kickboxing in School Games through SGFI since 2005. IAKO is a registered body under Socities Registration Act XXI of 1860 since 1996. IAKO made its journey in WAKO under the able leadership of Er. Harichandan till 2013 successfully and made Kickboxing extremely popular in India. IAKO Indian team taken part in World Championships regularly and won many medals. It’s worthy to mention that IAKO Indian team taken part in Asian Indoor Games through IOA(Indian Olympic Association) successfully and brought laurels for the country by winning medals including Gold medal. Due to unavoidable circumstances and international problems IAKO and its founder Er. Harichandan left WAKO in 2013 and decided to promote Kickboxing independently as usual in India. However IAKO will continue to promote amateur Kickboxing as before. Harichandan has been appointed as the sole Representative of WKA for India as its National Director since 2013 and continued till 2021. He resigned from WKA peacefully by protesting the unethical interference with devide and rule policies. On 10th Feb 2021 ISKA appoints Grandmaster Er. Harichandan as National Director for Republic of India. Originally founded as the International Sport Karate Association when the birth of kickboxing in America grew out of “Full-Contact Karate,” ISKA is now also recognized globally as the International Sport Kickboxing Association. Since 1986 ISKA has set an unprecedented standard for professionalism and integrity while servings as the world’s most well recognized sanctioning and regulatory body for combat sports and competitive martial arts. ISKA maintains a continued commitment to training and certifying officials and updating rules and regulations while recognizing both worthy champions and world-rated contenders in more than twenty different types of martial arts and combat sports. IAKO is proud to announce this new partnership under the dynamic leadership of President Mr. Harichandan to take Kickboxing sport and martial arts to next level in India.

*ODISHA BAGED SENIOR & JUNIRO TEAM NATIONAL CHAMPION TROPHY IN KICKBOXING*

The 4days National Kickboxing Championship was concluded successfully on 4th to 7th December 2025 at the premises of TOWNHOUSE HOTEL, Mancheswar Industrial Estate, Bhubaneswar. The event is hosted byAll Orissa Kickboxing Association (AOKA) under the aegis of Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisations (IAKO). More than 600 participants from 16 states participated along with about 60 Officials, informed by National President of IAKO Er. Prabodh Mohanty, MD, SNM Group.

Rahul Ghadei of Odisha won the PRO Kickboxing Belt in 50kg and Nihal Karim of Kerala won in 60kg categori.
