Bhatkal: A young sportsman from the town, Muhammed Sufiyan Akrami s/o Abdul Majeed Sultan Akrami who is studying in Bangalore college, has been selected as a university blue Kabaddi player for Vishveshwarayya Technological University (VTU) team.

Sufiyan is a student of Oxford college of engineering in Bengaluru.

Sources informed that Bhatkal boy Sufiyan will be representing VTU in South Zone Inter-University Kabaddi Tournament at Satyabama University in Chennai. He plays for Cosmos Sports Center in Bhatkal.

Many sports organisations of Bhatkal congratulated Sufiyan for his selection at VTU team.

Alhamdulillah we Won the qualifier match Today..Today's match was memorable..Mustaqeem & Shaibaz played tremendous inning..Mustaqeem came to Bat @ no.4 underpressure & scored 82*runs with his Bat with 10-fours & 3 huge sixes..And Shaibaz came to Bat @ no.8 & scored smashing 55runs of just 20 balls with 6 huge SIXES & 2-Fours.. Considering boths tremendous contribution towards winning Both were awarded as Man of the Match..They & played exceptionally well Today 👍👍👌👍👍
