West Bengal Wins First Medal at 38th National Games Uttarakhand - Devesh Shaw Clinches Bronze in Wushu
West Bengal has secured its first medal at the 38th National Games held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with Devesh Shaw winning a bronze medal in the Nunquan event of Wushu.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for West Bengal at this prestigious sporting event. Devesh Shaw’s exceptional performance in Wushu has not only earned him a well-deserved place on the podium but has also brought pride to the state of West Bengal.
Mr. Shambhu Seth, Founder & General Secretary of the Wushu Association of West Bengal, expressed his pride and appreciation for Shaw’s dedication and skill. “This victory is a testament to the hard work and determination shown by our athletes. We are extremely proud of Devesh and his remarkable achievement. This bronze medal is just the beginning, and we hope to see more success in the future,” said Seth.
Seth also extended his sincere thanks to the Bengal Olympic Association and the Government of West Bengal for their ongoing support of athletes and sports development in the state. "Their encouragement and resources have played a key role in helping our athletes perform at their best.
