Today on 08th February 2026, Baramulla Adventure Club, in collaboration with the J&K Forest Department, JV Forest Division Baramulla, successfully organized a one-day snow hiking and trekking expedition to Guwas today. The event was aimed at promoting adventure activities, physical fitness, environmental awareness, and responsible eco-tourism among the youth.
A total of 14 trek members along with 4 forest officials participated in the expedition. The team covered a challenging and rewarding 22 kilometres (to and fro) through breathtaking snow-covered trails, dense forests, and pristine natural landscapes. Despite the cold conditions, the spirit, teamwork, and enthusiasm of the participants remained high throughout the journey.
The trek served as a reminder that adventure and nature conservation must go hand in hand.
Such initiatives not only help in building physical endurance and mental strength but also encourage youth to connect with nature in a meaningful way. Exploring untouched natural destinations responsibly helps in developing respect for the environment and a sense of duty toward its protection.
🌱 Message to the Youth:
Explore nature and natural places, but always ensure that your activities do not disturb the environment. Protect forests, wildlife, and local ecosystems so that these beautiful places remain preserved for future generations.
Baramulla Adventure Club remains committed to organizing more such eco-friendly adventure activities in collaboration with concerned departments to promote sustainable tourism and environmental responsibility.
At last Baramulla Adventure Club is highly grateful to Divisional Forest Officer JV devision Forest division Baramulla Mr. Zahid Mughal Sahib , R.O Mr Rameez sahib and other field officials who provide full support and their efforts make this trekking event successful….
