When Playing Fields Become Equal

Our Sportability initiative was featured in today's Hindustan Times (14th August 2026), in a beautiful opinion piece by Dr. Anviti Singh.

Since 2023, Modern School has opened it's sports facilities after school hours — completely free — to children and adults with disabilities. What began as a simple idea has grown into something much bigger: a space for belonging, confidence, and community.

From supporting athletes for the inaugural Women's Blind Cricket World Cup to working alongside ASEEM (Ability School for Education and Equity at Modern) on education and vocational skills, Sportability shows that inclusion doesn't always need new infrastructure — just the will to open the gates.

Sportability participants and students from Modern School Vasant Vihar and Modern School Barakhamba Road came together to celebrate International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and energy. Through guided yoga sessions, participants experienced the benefits of mindfulness, balance, flexibility, and inner well-being.🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️

Twelve players from the Sportability cricket teams of Modern school Barakhamba Road and Modern School Vasant, were selected to participate in the Indian Wheelchair Premier League 7, to play for the Delhi Dynamos team.🏏

The Delhi team has won against the Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir teams and has now reached the semifinals! 🤞
