Bansberia Nrityala successfully curated and concluded an evening of theatre and dance yesterday with the financial assistance of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Sangeet Natak Akademi, and National School of Drama.
The evening opened with “Kaal Roop – Time Bearing the Terrible Face”, a solo Kathak presentation by Bishal Dutta, exploring the fierce and transformative dimensions of time through movement and expression.
The second presentation of the evening featured the invited theatre group, Raghunathganj Theatre Group, who presented the one-act play “Ghore Phera”, written and directed by Swapan Das.
The concluding performance of the evening was “Meera_atmani”, a new dance production by Bansberia Nrityala, choreographed by Bishal Dutta and performed by the students of the institution.
The production marked its premiere presentation on stage yesterday and received warm appreciation from the audience.
The evening concluded successfully with enthusiastic audience response and artistic exchange between dance and theatre traditions.
