NOTICE OF THE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS IN CASE TITLE KARATE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA Vs. ALL INDIA KARATE-DO-FEDERATION & OTHERS:
It is hereby informed to the General Public that a case titled “Karate Association of India Vs. All India Karate Do Federation” bearing CS No. 12380/16 was preferred by KAI through its General Secretary Mr. Bharat Sharma in Delhi Court.
The said suit has been decided and decreed in favour of the KAI vide judgement dated 28.03.2017 passed by court of competent jurisdiction at Delhi, whereby the defendants namely All India Karate Do Federation, Mr. Rameshwar Nirvan, Mr. P.R. Ramesh and others are restrained including their associates for using the name of Govt. of India (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports), World Karate Federation and Asian Karate Do Federation in their letter heads, stationary, website, banners, posters etc.
Thus, in view of the above said judicial pronouncement made in favour of the KAI, the association / persons arrayed as defendants in the above said case are hereby informed that they shall not violate or contravene the contents of the judgements, in failure on their part or in case of violation, KAI shall initiate appropriate legal proceedings against the above said persons or their associates including contempt of court.
Hence, Karate Association of India headed by President Mr. Karate R. Thiagarajan and General Secretary Mr. Bharat Sharma being the only recognised National Federation for the Karate Sports in India is only entitled to conduct National and International events, to select Indian team for all International events, to grant recognition to Karate clubs/organisations and approving Chief Instructors.
