Dear All,
I am writing this with no commercial intent. I just wanted to share my thoughts. I mean absolutely no offence. I have been wanting to say this for quite a while.
I often get asked “Why should I pay a personal trainer?”
Let’s take an analogy, God forbid if/when we get admitted to a hospital, we never say, we will perform our own surgery, we submit that work to the doctors and pay for their work.
If you have adequate knowledge of Anatomy. Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Prehab/Rehab, Nutrition, Equipment etc., Please be my guest, else it is always preferable to go with an expert, who knows his way around.
Afterall he would have spent his lifetime around it.
Guiding you every step, right to the goal, in the shortest possible time, and out of harm’s way. Don’t you think the trainer deserves to be paid, has the right to his livelihood, through the only means he knows.
There may be some trainers who do not live up to the expectations, they are not in this conversation, I am only talking about, the one who are worthy.
Please imagine the plight of gym staff trying to explain this, the amount a member pays as membership, is for using the facility. If you require any personal coaching/training, it comes as a separate payment. Please do not feel that we are trying to fleece you, if you do, then it becomes otherwise.
The trainer has a family at home, waiting for him to come back, with whatever he mustered.
He built himself to prove his point. He would have completed few certifications to further his skill. He would have competed in a few shows to limelight himself.
He lives by the code as testament to the prophecy, waiting patiently for someone to pay for his slot.
In my honest and humble opinion, it is one of the best investments you can make for yourself.
