A proud moment for Sathvik and all of us at Chess Shoots!
Sathvik clinched the 2nd place at the TEPLICE OPEN CHESS Tournament held at Czech Republic. He wins around 1.75 Lakhs as prize money and increases a whopping 34 fide rating points. It was hard luck that he missed GM norm even though his rating performance was above 2600 rating. He needed to get paired against a GM in the last round and even if he would have lost the last round he would have got a GM norm. Unfortunately, he was paired against an IM. The games he played clearly shows that he is very well geared up to make the GM norms quickly and surely. We move onto Turkey for the next tournament.
