KaaPra just concluded the first Tour of the Season 2015-16 at Tadoba Andheri Tiger reserve from November 19-23, 2015

We had very good sightings of Tigers and had a total of 5 different Tigers in a span of 3 days.We also had very good photographic opportunities of other mammals and birds including the ever illusive Sloth bear and Nilgai.
The Highlight of the trip was to spot Maya's 2 month old cubs which were hardly a few meters from our jeep. We also saw Choti tara and Maya with a Sambar Kill for for a good 30 mins.

We thank all participants for helping us complete another very Successful trip with KaaPra.

Hi Guys,
We can proudly say that KaaPra had a fantastic 2014-15 season filled with amazing fun and frolic combined with excellent sightings on all our trips. We thank all the participants for their continuous patronage which will definitely help us grow bigger and better year after year.

Just a quick recap of the season. We began the season withe a trip to Tadoba (November 2014) where we had some memorable sightings of 2 female tigers fighting, 2 tigers walking head on towards us and culminated with a tigress stalking a heard of Gaurs for 30 mins and then being chased away by the herd.

Our next trip was to Corbett (Jan 2015). Another very special trip to witness the evergreen Dhikala grasslands during the chill winter. The highlight of the show was to see 2 Tiger cubs walk in front of us and settle on the pebbles of the ramganga river bed. A dream sighting for most of us.

Kabini in Feb 2015: The land of the leopards dint disappoint us and we had good sightings of male and female leopard on 2 consecutive safaris.

Tadoba March 2015 : Most of us in this trip had a lifetime sighting of tigress and 4 cubs who were just 2 months old and this sighting lasted for a good 30 mins. All of us were gifted to watch the action unfold in front of us.

Corbett April 2015: This maybe regarded as our best trip to the corbett forests. It started of with 2 amazing sightings of tiger at Bijrani and we saw about 100 elephants on the Dhikala grassland. The Highlight was sighting a leopard for 2 hours in Tiger Country. Pallas Fish eagle with kill, Cobra, wide variety of birds culminated what had been an amazing year for KaaPra.

As we gear up for the new season , we have formed a tentative schedule of the trips we have planned this year. Please let us know which trips you are interested in and we can give you further details (Itinerary and Cost details) on the same.

Tigress | Tadoba
A very bold tigress who is growing up a litter of cubs with panache. She was recently radio-collared for some research purpose. Hope the Forest departments come up with a better device than a bulky radio collar that seems such a hassle to the tigers
