A welcome and progressive step for Indian sports governance. 👏🇮🇳

The notification of the National Sports Governance Rules, 2026 and the establishment of the National Sports Board and National Sports Tribunal reflect a stronger commitment towards transparency, accountability and efficient administration in Indian sports.

The introduction of independent dispute resolution mechanisms and digital systems for accessibility will help strengthen governance and support athletes, associations and stakeholders across the sporting ecosystem.

Appreciation to the Government of India for taking this initiative towards creating a more structured, fair and future-ready sports environment.

The Union Government has officially notified the National Sports Governance (National Sports Board) Rules, 2026 and the National Sports Governance (National Sports Tribunal) Rules, 2026 under the provisions of the National Sports Governance Act, 2025. 🇮🇳⚖️

The National Sports Board will function as the central authority for granting recognition to National Sports Bodies while ensuring compliance with governance, financial and ethical standards. The Board will consist of a Chairperson and two Members appointed by the Central Government from a panel recommended by the Search-cum-Selection Committee.

Meanwhile, the National Sports Tribunal has been established as a dedicated body for resolving sports-related disputes in the country. The Tribunal aims to ensure faster, independent and cost-effective resolution of issues linked to sports governance and administration, reducing dependence on civil courts.

The Rules also introduce digital mechanisms including a dedicated portal for filing disputes, submitting documents, virtual hearings and publication of orders, creating a more accessible and streamlined dispute resolution process for Indian sports. 🏅

A productive interaction was held between representatives of the Amateur Karnataka Floorball Association and the Chairman/Principal of Siri and Vishnu School, Mr. Manjunath, regarding the introduction and promotion of Floorball in the school.

Mr. Manjunath appreciated the initiative and requested for a demonstration match to be organized for the students. He also assured his full support towards the development of Floorball within the institution.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Biju Mondal along with General Secretary Mr. Madhu N, where future opportunities for the growth of Floorball at the grassroots and school level were discussed.

We look forward to building a strong sporting partnership and expanding the reach of Floorball among young athletes.

📢 AKFA SELECTION TRIALS – SINGAPORE FLOORBALL OPEN 2026

The Amateur Karnataka Floorball Association (AKFA) announces selection trials for clubs, academies, and individual players to represent Prijo Panthers Club in the Singapore Floorball Open 2026, one of Asia’s premier international floorball tournaments.

Karnataka teams proudly participated in the U12 and U17 National Floorball Championship held in Delhi. The players displayed great enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

A special appreciation goes to the Girls U17 team, who delivered an outstanding performance and secured the Silver Medal, bringing pride and recognition to Karnataka. Their dedication, teamwork, and fighting spirit were commendable.

The U12 teams and other U17 teams also performed very well, gaining valuable match experience and showcasing promising talent for the future. Their efforts, commitment, and competitive spirit are highly appreciated.

Overall, Karnataka’s participation was successful and inspiring. Congratulations to all players, coaches, officials, and support staff for their hard work and contribution to the growth of Floorball in the state. 🏑👏
